New from Kansas!

Hello everyone,

I have been browsing all the great literature this site has to offer, and figured it was time to join the forums.

As you probably already know from the title, I'm from Kansas. I'm currently finishing school at KSU. I have for a long time considered "trying" out the KSU Parachute Club, and since this is my Senior year it is now or never so to speak.

I'm signed up for a static line class, I'm really eager, anxious, excited, and nervous all at the same time! It is something I have always wanted to do, and it was time I finally committed to doing it.

I would love to get licensed, and I suppose I will know for sure if that is what I want to do after the class.

Hi! And welcome to the forums and to the sport. There's a ton of good stuff here but you have to filter out the bad while you're at it.

Read up and enjoy is my advice. There's a lot of stuff out there and some of it is kind of hiding. Also check out these books for some entertainment if you can't jump as much as you'd like right now:

- Above All Else: A World Champion Skydiver's Story of Survival and What It Taught Him About Fear, Adversity, and Success
-Parachuting: The Skydiver's Handbook
