Hello all.

My name is Steve and I have the grand total of 1 jump under my belt! But this will change soon.

Ever since I was a young child, I knew skydiving was for me, so the moment I turned 16, I did my first static line jump. It was fantastic, and since that day I have been looking at the sky dreaming of flying.

Unfortunately, being 16, I'm now 18, I have not been able to afford to jump since. However now I have just signed a contract with a new company, I hope to get in the sky again before the end of the year. I have decided to take the British RAPS course. So if you did it, let me know.

And beware, I might just be falling in soon at a DZ near you;)

Hi Steve, glad you like it.RAPS is definately a good way to get into the sport. Not as expensive as AFF and because its spread over a longer period of time you get to be around the DZ more and chat to all the old hands and listen to the stories at the bar. An education all in itself!!
You dont say where you are but if you decide to come to Headcorn you may find me teaching you... just beware the pink room on saturday nights. Langer is alaso nice and a bit further up Hibaldstow is friendly and has some good aircraft.
Lou. It is better to be happy for a moment and be burned up with beauty than to live a long time and be bored all the while.

Not everybody started with a SL... Would have scared me... ;)
I still have to to one though... will try and do it soon

I did AFF when I started. Got roped (pun intended ;)) into doing a static line jump a couple of weekends ago for a couple of mates 200th jumps. Must say that I quite enjoyed and would do it again. Bit strange to be back under a 280 though.B|

Best of luck. :)
