brnnncrzy77 0 #1 July 21, 2011 About to start back learning to skydive after a long layoff. Just wondering if it's possible to switch dropzones in the middle of my AFF course? The only reason I would want to do this is because I will be going out of town for a month and don't want to have to repeat a jump. I would just make a jump or two at the local DZ where I am going that offers AFF. u werent flying, u were falling with style
drdive 0 #2 July 21, 2011 I started AFF at my home DZ which is seasonal, didn't make it through before we closed for winter, and wanted to finish and not wait til spring. I got my log and records and went to Lake Wales in FL and completed my AFF there. It was not a problem. They may go back and repeat a level if it has been awhile, and will undoubtedly give you a refresher. Try to get your log with instructors comments from where you started."We saved your gear. Now you can sell it when you get out of the hospital and upsize!!" "K-Dub" "
missbrz 0 #3 July 21, 2011 It will depend on the dropzones. Call the two where you want to do AFF, explain the situation, and ask if that's ok with them. Even if its been done before, if that DZ says no, then you are SOL.
