Phoenix Fly Stealth 1?

Recommended Posts

Hello folks,

I got an offer for a used Phoenix Fly Stealth 1, with around 200 jumps on it. Fits nicely. Asking price: 380€. Pricy alternative would be a Stealth 3 for around 1000€.

Few questions:
1.) Anything problematic with the first Stealth?
2.) What / How big are the differences?
3.) Do you think they are worth eating beans until X-mas? ;)

Cheers,

Krisu

Be it some differences in inflation (a bit softer) and the suit having a bit more shallow angle of flight (a bit harder to fly for distance/speed), its quite comparable to the Ghost3. I did quite a few jumps on that one.

Here is an oldie video of us playing with some Stealths

The Stealth2 was quite a step up in wingsurface. This suit would later be updated again (as the request for more fabric arrose) towards the Venom.

Depending on the condition of the suit, and how well it fits, its actually not a bad price.

I love my stealth 1.

That said, it needs a new zipper and has been out of action this year.

I find it flys slow (lowish descent rate with ease), but not with a lot of forward speed. Never pulled out my flysight to get a glide ratio. However it had a great range with ease unless you were trying to blast forward.

Decent inflation, not too hard, not too soft. Easy to pull.
Overall, I like it, and I really need to get it fixed.

That said, my other suits are/were phantom1 (sold), shadow, stealth, V2/V3/V4 and X2. I think the stealth 1 had the best mix of range, ease of flight of all my suits.

I really need to get out more. damn responsibilities, lol.
