  1. ok. Sink rate. got it. thanks. i am sitting in my house. so i am trying to figure it out by the math and not measuring a jump
  2. I bought a brand new rig for my first. I had just gotten my A lic. I talked to my instructors and other experienced jumpers. I decided that I wanted a 210 Saber2. I was impatient and didn't look very long before I just went and ordered the new gear. I was nervous about buying something used and not having enough knowledge to know if I was getting a good gear on quality gear. So I can tell you exactly what has been done to my gear and how it has been taken care of. The price was expensive, but if you can afford it, then the peace of mind might be worth the price. I don't have a lot of experience in packing, and i have to admit that I struggle packing it. The guys at the DZ usually get a good laugh out of watching me "stuff" it into the bag, but I don't think i would change my mind. I will jump it for a couple of years and I might downsize to a 190. Best of luck in your decision.
  3. I am looking for some help trying to figure out my fall rate under canopy and also how fast I am moving forward under canopy with 0 mph wind. I am 230 pounds with all my gear. I fly a 210 Saber2. I am interested in the math formula so I can figure this out while sitting on my sofa. I got lots of advice on using a stopwatch and an altimeter. Anyone got any information for me?
  4. i am a new jumper. i just ordered my new gear. i have to get an AAD. i just don't know which one to purchase. do you think i should get a cypress or vigil?
  5. ok, i get the picture. i will buy a 210 and learn how to fly it before i downsize to a 190. thank you for all your input.
  6. thanks for the information. i plan on getting a few more jumps on the rented canopies. i am hoping that i can find a 190 to try. it just doesn't make sense to my to buy a 210 for a 100 jumps and then downsize to a 190. thanks for the help. i think the coach is a good idea.
  7. i am a new jumper. i only have 14 jumps right now. during my aff, i jumped a nav 260 and the last 7 jumps i have been on a nav 220. i am 220 pounds with all my gear on. i should lose 10 pounds and that may happen over the winter. i am looking to buy a used rig. i have been told to buy a 210 but it doesn't seem like there are many on here for sale. i see there are a lot of 190's. i am curious what people think about someone with my experience and size going to a 190. what would i notice the major differences between the 190 and the 210?
