  1. D B Cooper was Colonel Hugh Gordon Waite. He was a paratrooper. He spoke French. He was a native of Oregon and is buried in Portland. He was an avid photographer and used a camera with a titanium shutter that would leave shard traces of titanium on the clip on tie he wore. There are pictures at his daughters web site of him wearing that tie. DB Cooper has never been identified because he lived after the crime.
  2. I would like to revisit the possibility that Colonel Hugh Gordon Waite is DB Cooper. Colonel Waite has an uncanny resemblance to Cooper. Colonel Waite was from Oregon, and is buried in Portland. Colonel Waite was a paratrooper that served in Korea and Vietnam. He was an avid photographer that used a camera that had a pure titanium shutter and was state of the art. There were pure Ti parts found on the tie according to sources. Quote
  3. I was thinking the pure titanium traces on the DBC tie may have gotten there by way of Nikon camera parts. It the 1960's Nikon used titanium foil shutters. These shutters would wear and most likely fall out of the camera. It is my understanding that ti foil is pure grade titanium. I ran this by Tom Kaye and he said he wasn't aware of this. I was wondering if anyone more familiar with Nikon cameras might want to comment. PS I don't believe Lynn Cooper was DBC
  4. I hate the LD Cooper angle and don't believe it. I see the real Cooper being much smarter and more wordly than these 2 brothers. I am surprised how little follow up by regulars there is here concerning the titanium found on the tie. It seems that since it does not jibe with a particular favorite son theory, it is ignored. I think it's the biggest clue to come out in decades.
  5. Mr. Kaye thinks maybe a guy that's a shift manager at a heavy metal plant might be DB, but don't forget the guy needs a background in jumping and has either died or got away.
  6. I just read the tie partical analysis by Tom Kaye and his thinking on the titanium speck and aluminum shavings. Without getting too wordy, in 1969 Porche introduced a new, state of the art 12-cylinder engine, and many components were made of titanium, magnesium and exotic alloys for the Porche 917 used for competetive racing in Europe. Now Mr. Kaye says that they found pure titaniam and not an alloy. Is it possible DB Cooper was a fan of exotic cars and/or Eurpean racing? Or was involved in a racing team while reading French language comic books?
  7. I'd like to see you go away also. You clog this site worse than the colon of an 84 year old man on an all meat diet.
  8. Why don't you give a location and identify yourself? Why do you copyright silly online posts to a website? I think you might be trying to get a quick buck off this.
  9. From Wiki: Statute of limitations In 1976 discussion arose over impending expiration of the statute of limitations on the hijacking. Most published legal analysis agreed that it would make little difference, as interpretation of the statute varies considerably from case to case and court to court, and a prosecutor could argue that Cooper had forfeited immunity on any of several valid technical grounds. The question was rendered moot in November when a Portland grand jury returned an indictment against "John Doe, aka Dan Cooper" for air piracy and violation of the Hobbs Act. In effect the indictment formally initiated prosecution of the hijacker that can be continued, should he be apprehended, at any time in the future. Seems like the only thing I've ever read about the SoL is what you mentioned here. I'm not a lawyer, but I thought back in 1971 the only crime that had no SoL was murder and other capitol crimes, so I may be wrong. When I see all the fakes like Weber trying to capitalize, the real DBC had he lived might be tempted to confess just to shutup the trashy redneck people that have lied and continue to lie about family members being involved.
  10. If Cooper survived the jump, after the statute of limitation expires there would be a huge financial incentive to "come out". If he were to claim responsibility I can imagine him selling his story and basking in the glow of out smarting everyone. But that never happened because Cooper was probably a solid citizen with a productive life. I can see him being ashamed of what he did. He was from a generation that did what they were suppose to do. Why would he go off the rails like this? I don't know.
  11. No, Cooper was from Oregon or Washington. He knew the land, he knew roughly where he was despite the fog. He had been on flights from Portland to Seattle many times and recognized what Tacoma looked like from the sky. He had jumped from planes many times but mostly as a younger man. I imagine in 1971 you could not fly out of the United States from Portland, or you had very little choice, maybe to Canada, but to fly to the orient or other international destinations you would fly to Seattle first. He was quiet and efficient and had nerves of steel, which were aided by nicotine. He used exactly the right amount of words to convey his message to Tina, no more, no less.
  12. Taco a few day ago you were crowing to anybody and everybody that the new lead, LD Cooper was the real deal. I think you should put your keyboard away and be quiet for a while.
  13. Well I was curious, that's why I went to your site and looked at the photos of Tina. She looks very good for her age. I'll bet she has an internet connection also. I respect all the leg work you're doing Bruce, and I hope you find what you're looking for. I guess I don't understand all the wars between the Cooper hunters???
  14. Bruce - I don't understand how putting these pictures of Tina on the net help solve the DBC case. Please explain. Thanks Pat
  15. In addition, Alex possessed an uncanny knowledge of the Cooper case and knew the key people to contact for an A+ article, as if he had been coached. I can think of only a handful of candidates for Alex’ mentor and GG is one of them. So, the coincidences are very great. As a result, I feel like I have been deceived by them. Hi Bruce, can you tell us more about how these 2 men deceived you? I was looking at the website for this new book, and they cite several suspects and even touch on LD Cooper.
