  1. Mine was a 1986 Honda Accord Hatchback, totally awesome. Nicknamed Hideous Honda. I used to take that beast off roading! GOOD TIMES!
  2. OK good, Im ok with that!!! I CANT WAIT to get back in the sky....... CAN NOT WAIT! Thank you for the good news because I am bummed enough I wont be making a jump for OUUUUCH 2 more weeks :(
  3. Does anyone know what im facing? Due to finances, I wont be able to jump for another 2 weeks, which will put me at 2.5 months since my last jump. I dont have a A lisence yet, but I have completed AFF and i have done 4 self supervised. I know at this point I have to do a reoccurance/coach jump....but they wont take away my passing levels will they? I am so bummed out, but I just ran into some hard times....Since im so new and still a student Im worried about what this do to my status....Anyone know?
  4. ya know what........just being on this sight and reading other forums and posts, Im already getting amped! I think some flips and barrel rolls are in my immediate future. BOOM :) (and dont worry I will talk to my coaches and get some breifing since it has been 2 months)
  5. Hi, Did really great in AFF, I only had to repeat level 6 one time. Ive had some great solo jumps since. But due to some tough financial times and weather holds, its been about 2 months since my last jump. Im kind of feeling like I have never jumped before, lol. (not really but im freaked) Some people have told me its like riding a bike....but I tend to not think so. I remember all Ive learned......just still so new so I still get so scared, that is UNTIL I EXIT! Then its ALL SMILES.....during my final I tend to get a bit scared again, but so far so good. Im going out for a jump tomorrow. I think I just need a bit of a boost. No one in my immediate life understand the sport so I havent been able to get any support to syke myself back up.....(I think Im being silly and Im going to have a BLAST tomorrow) Thanks for letting me get this off my chest...... :)
  6. Haha, I already do that! :) Thanks for the congrats! Tomorrow i should be well on my way to my A! Im excited!
  7. Just a little update! My jump was AWESOME! I did 2 extra barrel rolls AND an extra backflip, my instructor did a couple too for fun. My dive out exit was so smooth I couldnt believe it! I dont know why I was so worried.........silly girl! Thanks for all your support!!! (This weekend I will be finishing my AFF and doing a few self supervised jumps) LOVVVVVVVVVVE this!
  8. I can't say how much of a great idea I think this is. I really can't say. What the hell am I thinking - of course, it falls under the CSF waiver for common sense. It wouldnt be right away! LOL. I would have to get very comfortable and freefly confident, if it takes a B before I do it, then so be it, I will always use my instincts!!! Which are good, im just lucky enough to have a highly safe and skilled WS jumper as one of my best friends. He is practicing with other girls and mastering it before he even considers me, he is very very safe as well. We would be doing many freefly jumps together and get comfortable together first as well. Dont worry, im not jumping on him in the sky quite yet Im excited as hell for it though!
  9. Why not just take the first couple of weeks and finish up your license and then go visit other DZs after you have your A? I think you make a great point and most likely that is what I will be doing the majoritly of the time. I just want to know of options.....I am lucky enough to have 4 dz within a few hours of eachother and it would just be cool to check them out if a group of us are going out. After I get my A, I will be doing to weekend trips all the time, just curious if I could (still jump with coaches whether my cousin or not) at other dz if the crew is going, saves on gas, thats for sure!
  10. Your awesome! Thanks! You give great advice!!!
  11. hmmmm so I was told keep your hands at the 90 degrees but push down, it didnt feel right. (and I obviously didnt do it right) im curious to hear how my instructor tomorrow tells me, I really like him, he was on my 1st jump with me, and almost every load, i dont know why i didnt stick with him........and he IS the reason I can combine 6 back loop and 7 tracking on my next jump.....Plus he's super weird, and strange is much much betta!
  12. But it is also true that a dropzone can make rules that will get in your way, license or not. There was recently a discussion about a dz that may be saying that if you didn't get your "A" license at that dz, you will not be allowed to jump there until you have a "B" license. That is the dz's choice, and USPA has told me that a dz is absolutely free to make any such rule they may desire. Good to know, gotta ask those questions before I head out. Thanks Buddy! It would be a bummer to travel for hours only to here gotta have your B or 100 minimum. Thanks!
  13. Thanks! I know im still gonna be a student but I want to show my cousin around the state, and I knew/know alot of people in the sport before I started so it would be great to be able to join them.....once I get my A I already got a wingsuit rodeo date! [/:P] CANT WAIT!
  14. I am about to get off my AFF and I was just wondering, to get my A lisence I can go to any dz right? Not exclusivly the one i did my aff at right? (obviously most instructors at my dz say to stay there) but ive gotten mixed answers and well my cousin is a coach and just moved here from Wisconsin (here is Florida) and Id like to start jumping with him and my buddies already in the sport, doing some dz run weekends........ :)
  15. [ For me, front loops and back loops were relatively easy because I just remembered what it was like to do a front loop or back loop in the pool when I was a kid - and I did a lot of them back then. Barrel rolls were tougher for me because that wasn't something I ever did when I was just playing as a kid. Funny you should say that because I was in the pool just the other day and I had someone hold an arm out for me to arch on and then was practicing the loops, i think pool time (if you cant get to a tunnel) is probley great practice......i never thought they would be similiar but I think they very much are....
