  1. skydiving is like everything else, the more you do it the less nervous you get. you will also remember more. i only have four solo jumps which i did last weekend, but you "wake up" a little more with each jump and retain a lot more. good luck with the plane thing, it kinda freaks me out too. i just breath deep and think about the dive flow and it keeps me more calm.

  3. no repeats so far. both instructors released on level 3 with solo pull. level 4 was with one jumpmaster and he also released, right and left turns good and even got the forward movement down. we redocked on the forward movement, then we backed off and i had a solo pull. level 1 landing was a little rough cause i came in on my ass instead of a plf, flared late. level 2 and 4 i had a nice plf and didnt get hurt, level 3 was my first stand up landing.
    it was all amazing and i cant wait till next weekend so i can get back in the air.

  6. thanks for the input. i ended up doing one jump, last load, on friday after my aff ground school. then levels 2 and 3 on saturday, the level four today which is sunday. it feels amazing to be in the sky, dont really want to come down.

  8. i have been waiting since may to start my aff jumps. i have ground school today and jumping saturday and sunday. hope the clouds move on out cause i cant stand to wait any longer. Hell yeah!!!

    for 1800 dollars i am getting 25 jumps which includes everything from the equipment rental to the coach and aff instructors. anywhere else i would probably end up spending 2400 to 2600. the farm is also highly recommended.

  17. Anyhoo, how big does something have to be before it is littering and the cops would do something about it? They don't care if you throw a butt out, if you empty an ashtray in front of them would that do it? Is a bottle top ok but the bottle is over the edge?

    here in georgia cops will give you a ticket for throwing out cigg butts. i am a smoker and i always keep an ashtray in my truck and throw them away at a gas station.

  • you definitely need to do some shopping around. luckily the place i did my tandem jump had the best price around, plus it is highly recommended. check out the link popsjumper posted cause the farm offers an a license package for 1800 us dollars. you might not be able to find something that cheap up north, but even traveling a couple hundred miles and camping for a few days while jumping would be cheaper. thats what im going to do starting this weekend.

    my opinion is that skydivers are just a group not necessarily a clique, but i would say that the different disciplines (freeflyeers, wingsuiters, freestyle, etc.) would be the cliques.

  • its happened to me many times, but the thing that pisses me off the most is when some dick head decides he needs to wash his windshield while i am behind him. its shitty when you get soaked by that stuff, especially if its the stuff with bug remover or rain x, assholes for sure.

  • gotta watch out for gatorade too. alcohol bonds with electrolytes and it can fuck you up pretty bad if it goes straight to your blood instead of your liver. dont know how accurate this is but its what i have always been told.
