I do not think you fully understand what they have done and can do.

But, You don't have to be a USPA member to skydive, but it is easier to be one, to skydive in more places.

You ride on the street only or a track too?

I used to be a member of two organizations AMA and WERA, I needed to be so I could race. I equate Skydiving to Racing.

I just have a hard time understanding the animosity directed at USPA with out a good reason. The FAA has stayed as far out of our "Business" as possible because of USPA being in this business.

Numerous Airports have failed in tossing skydiving operations out, because of USPA involvement.

Reality is, with out USPA being in the mix and in the FAA's "face", you would need to be in the US Military to legally jump as Skydiving wold have been run off years ago.

I think your distaste is misguided. I ask you to rethink your opinion.

    +1

i know they do a lot for our sport. as i said in my post they are the lesser evil compared to government intervention.

i also think it is bullshit that you basically have to join to skydive.

ill take the bad with the good. i dont hate the uspa just dont agree with everything they do, and i know it they are needed.

  3. all you need to do is get a moist towelette, then clean the sand out of your vagina.

    that should solve your problem:P

i i guess the uspa is not worthless after all... well maybe.

I am curious as to why you feel that way?

    Matt

because they require me to give them money so they can say i know how to skydive.

dont get me wrong, the uspa is still way better than government involvement in our sport. i just dont like the fact you have to be a member to jump at almost all dropzones.

an analogy: just because i ride motorcycles doesn't mean i have to join a motorcycle club.

just because i skydive doesn't mean i have to join a skydiving club. oh wait, it does.

  5. chuting star offers some deals for students. i got an altimeter, helmet, and gloves as a package and saved a few bucks.

chuting star is a great gear shop, but also an excellent reference source. give them a call or email with any questions and i am sure mike will be glad to help you out.

    Sweet!
Now, let's talk about the weather. I would like it in the 70's during the daytime and the 50's at night with a 5-8 mph wind during jump time. Please take care of that.

    :)

that is how the weather has been the last few weekends in georgia. little cooler at night but perfect for a bonfire.

let's hope the good weather holds out:)

One scenario is low cutaway! if you had a low pull and malfunction, i was assuming if i cutaway at 1000ft,. My AAD may still activate lower than that if the speed is reached! However if no AAD and lowpull, i am going back into freefall waisting time to stabalize and activate my reserve.

if you're that low, fuck getting stable. still do not see how the rsl will help.

the rsl does not act as a pilot chute, more of a static line for your reserve. it just pulls the pin.

  9. they are completely different devices and i dont see any correlation between the two.

the rsl will not cut your reserve closing loop if you get dirty low with nothing out.

My response was deadly serious. Given what you value in a partner, that's the surest way to ensure that her body will remain what you want it to throughout the relationship.:|

I gave you fare warning this was going to offend you.
Look like it or not, a woman can look at a guy and see about a half dozen ways he's attractive.
Be it from how he carries himself to how smart he is.
And god bless you women for having such a complicated view of men.

But well....we guys....we are different. Well I am very different. Looks matter, how she carriers her self matters, health matters. I have never or will I EVER date a girl and have to say "But she is nice"

And no only a sucker pays for what they can get for free and what brings dinner over.

First, I see nothing in her post showing she is offended. Second, stop speaking for all of us males. I am about as far from being like your dumb ass as anyone could be. You deserve whatever pathetic life you end up with. When I see someone as totally fucked up as you are I have to wonder how it happened.

  11. i have a sabre2 so ill comment on that one. i absolutely love the canopy. it flies great, flares great, and is all around fun.

it is a very general canopy. it doesn't excel at anything, but there are no real cons either.

i get end cell closure on almost every opening, but i've gotten used to it. off heading openings are also common, but my packing and deployment position are getting better and so are the openings.

  12. with just your aff finished, you have to jump by yourself or with a coach/instructor or d license holder per unlicensed jumper. with you A you can pretty much jump with whomever and where ever you want.

  13. i camped last year and that's what i am doing again this year. there were a lot of people from my dz that went and stayed in tents/trailers. it is nice and cool at nights but not freezing, so it's perfect tent weather.

edited to add: you should use the money you would have spent on a room jumping, and stay in a tent (story of my life).
