  2. July 17th 2010... It was a great privilege to have jumped with you.. Blue Skies brother 6 in 2 out
  3. Dont do AFP, it promotes bad body position. If you want to skydive then just jump into AFF. Go to a wind tunnel.. that might help you understand a little more Most important talk to your instructors.. they have dealt with these questions over and over.. you will be surprised I have spent more time in the chair than in the air.. thats how you learn more about this sport, coming out and doing 1 jump and leaving, just to come back in time so you wont go uncurrent makes you dangerous... Good luck 6 in 2 out
  4. I just finished my coach, and i highly suggest Kip Lohmiller, Air rage skydiving... he taught a basic body flight with the class.. very helpful. Kip also uses modern skydiving techniques... in our class he used an AFF student who was having trouble.. after working with him and explaining some basic body flight positions.. he passed his level that he was struggling with.. But thats a personal opinion of mine, good luck! 6 in 2 out
  5. I thought someone might get a kick out of it... its just a plane, i am surprized that it made such a big deal. Anyone at Cross Keys tell Packer Mike you want to see the pictures of Bobbys sister dancing.... its a hell of a story!! 6 in 2 out

    Smart

It worked, stood the landing up, 176 flares nice a smooth. It says smart on the canopy... but what you just did was dumb... it will taunt you too

    Pilot

My beginning canopies were sabre 2's, the constant weird openings due to either pilot error or inexperience helped me decide to look for another canopy to fly. Due to lack of money at the time I bought a used Icon setup for a steal and my decision was made. I put 60 jumps on that 168, used it in Luigi Canni's canopy course and learned to use it to its full potential. Still not able to pack it due to the ZP being very slippery, also the smart reserve flys great, i chopped on the second day of his course... Now a 150 pilot ZPX is in my new mirage, over 100 jumps, and i could not be any happier. The ZPX packs like a broke in canopy and is still very responsive. Front riser pressure needs to be bled out at 3/4 brakes for about 4 seconds to reach optimal usage. Great flare, long landings with double fronts, single toes drags and short double toe drags. I really recommend this canopy to anyone looking for a safe canopy with the mind set using a canopy for its full potential. Now i am looking at trying the 124 or 132 pilot.
  9. I started it on the other thread but my computer closed, i didnt think it took it... Yes this happened at STL, and yes it was the same guy... We all came up with the same conclusion of size of jumper to rig.. but we were wondering if it has ever happened some where else... or if it was common... Thank you for you help... will keep everyone updated if we ever figure it out 6 in 2 out
  10. While doing a coach jump for his a license, on retal gear, manta 240 jav container.. gear and pin checked 3 times, with a non eventful skydive, no wwf style flying, upon pitching the pilot chute the reserve followed right behind him. Vigil never fired, the coach saw no misplacement of his hands, and both handles tossed and gone.. Yesterday while doing his 1st (beer) A license jump, again as he pitched the reserve followed right behind it, but this time on a 230 jav, this time it took both hands to cutaway and reserve handle wasnt pulled. He is about 230pds and 6ft.. The reserve cord had a kink in it where the rsl was.. question is.. how does the happen? I watched him from above and watched him wave and pull, his hands were out in neutral position and in no way did his fingers or thumbs get in the rsl, like we have thought the first time.. I tried to give as many facts as possible and has us all stumped, any info or related stories of the same would be helpful.. Thank You 6 in 2 out
