  1. Good article! True nit pick criticism... The AAD, by cutting the closing loop, "initiates reserve deployment," not "causing the reserve chute to immediately deploy." as stated.
  2. It's airing out right now and looks to be in really really good shape. Lines are clean, fabric looks good too. One correction to my earlier thought of Swift Plus 175. It's actually a Swift Plus 225. I've also talked to two riggers who have taken care of it in the past. It's 20 years old this month, but, in better shape than some that have been opened that I have looked at in the past.
  3. Just got a call from a friend who actually has packed this very parachute. You're right! Swift Plus 175 it is!
  4. I'm not at all familiar with the Swift Reserves, but, I believe there are 5 and 7 cell versions, and, I'm curious about canopy size too.
  5. I'm trying to help the family of a jumper who died (not jumping releated) identify a reserve. It is a Para-Flite Swift... Serial Number is R7-2178. Does anyone know off the top of their head a good resource to look this up? Thank you in advance.
  6. Nah, no ID's yet, just a guess. The folks at CrossKeys have been awesome. Warm and welcoming, and that way off the DZ too. I've run into many away from CK, and at other DZ's, and, the spirit holds. Always looking to jump, and, slot right in on big-way, 4-way, no matter what. Thanks guys!
  7. Ahh, mine's yellow too! Looks great. It got a good workout this past weekend with about 2.75 hours in the tunnel doing some aggressive 4-way FS. I feel like I got good protection (took plenty of feet to the head hard, and, even got slammed pretty hard and took some paint off.) The visibility was really good. No problems with the design for FS work! My hints... Keep the chinstrap tight to perfectly seal the airflow when on your belly. Also, the black "ladder strap" on top makes for perfect debriefing and catching your head switches... It does NOT lie on the video! I'm still happy with my Revolve.
  8. I'm only a few jumps in on mine, and, LOVE it! Jumped new years day, and, cold... but, did well. I could even work the opening with my 3mm neoprene gloves on.
  9. I just ordered the REVolve. I've used the Contour HD on lots of jumps using 3M Dual Lock. I will really like to see it mounted on the REVolve. Strange... I've not been this "jazzed" over a helmet before...
  10. And, my second new rig (major weight loss, on purpose)...
  11. Another Missouri Skydiver here. I'm from St. Charles, and jump primarily at Archway, but have been to Festus and the Chicago DZ's in this area too. Haven't been to Van's place in Mid Mo yet as I have been busy with my 4-way team.
  12. I need to go to Alabama to get my hair cut sometime. And a few skydives, too. Mark, do go to Alabama and get a cut and a jump. I haven't been to The Farm (yet) but have joined the crew at Skydive Alabama for some jumps and fun. They are a great bunch of folks and very welcoming, even with my big rainbow stuck to my forehead!
  13. Here's my rig. Mirage G3, M5. PD193 Reserve and Sabre2-190. It's my first rig and I love it!
