  4. I saw him and Elton John in 1993 it was just them two head to head pianos and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen.
    They are both awesome.
    I do agree that things can get old if heard every day over and over. But come on girl it's one of the classics. And no I am not just an old fart I saw Metallica 3 times before the drummer died, they rocked as well.

    Its a pretty good size pumpkin, bigger then a persons head. It hasn't been cut open or anything, and the only thing on it is a duct tape handle.

    Has anyone been in freefall with a pumpkin and can tell me the speed it fell?

    and yes, we are gonna spot way out in the middle of nowhere, and tell people on the ground when we are doing it, etc.




    I can't tell you the speed at which it will fall, but I can tell you that it can go through a roof of a building and that was from only 800'. It went through the roof of the bathrooms at Mike Mullins place, while someone was in there. No injuries except to the roof.

    I believe it had 23 outside. It is buried in my parents attic. I have had it since I was a kid.
    Who and where was that? I am pretty sure it was Ca. just not sure.

    Not sure who has attended the Keys boogie before but a few suggestions:

    Make sure to bring something to pack on. They normally have big tents for shade but the mat is YOUR responsibility. (a hammer to stake it down also ;))

    A packing weight, if you are like me, and like to hold your stuff still ;)

    Also, a cooler is a VERY good idea except no alcohol on the airport prop.

    And don't forget your water gear - it's a must!

    Yes this will be my first. Yes I will buy the beer, So my question is will there be packers available?

    I am heading out either Wednesday night or Thursday morning out of Zhills if anyone needs a ride. At this time planing on returning on Monday.

    Have a room at the Sombrero (two beds and a kitchen) if anyone wants to split the cost. $75.00 a day.

    Can't wait.

  9. I was under the understanding that they don't sell in the US due to the TSO? Not sure of the details,not able to get it or don't want to.

    In defense of their container, it is a well built rig with some nice features.

    I believe they are the ones that make the "Fandango" main canopy. Maybe not the best name for a canopy in the US market anyway??

    Chuck help me out here. If I am not mistaken the pie was originally for the 1000 mark, not the 00's. I think it has changed since the ol'e days.

    You got the real SkyVan, I saw a Pic and said YES at least they could keep flying with a full load. We never broke down did we??? They just would not let us fill it......

    I got to experience my first Eye of a hurricane. I got bored so I was hurrican dialing people at 8:00 am. Which would have been 7 their time in Dallas.

    I was very lucky with the Mother of all Mothers, Nature that is, she treated me well.

    Evil huh?? See if you do our next SCR;);)

    I heard great things about the boogie.. I wish you would have or I would have been on the ball, I could have brought you PD, Sun Path and RW,.

    That was one of the Raft dives at SkyFest 04 in Spaceland. I believe it was yours or Josh??

    To bad it wasn't in the raft that has been to all 4 SkyFest, it says SkyFest on the front with all the previous years crossed out. Oh, well now that I think about it they probably would not have used it then.

    Congrats to whoever took it. When I get home I can look it up, but really curious now!

  • I've got over 900 jumps on a Spectre and I stopped packing 20 years ago, so these last 900 were packed by different packers across the country.
    The rocking forwards and backwards once the slider is down is probably from still moving forward while dumping. When it started doing it to me it made me a little nervous, I made sure I stoped moving before I dumped and the problem went away, now I dump in a track just for fun.

    If I am not mistaken 2" is a little too much, I think PD allows 1.5????

    Make sure your leg straps are even. Also try to relax during opening and let it do what it is designed to do. I am not saying that you are not, but just be aware. I think that most people will agree that most malfunctions are due to body position, at least with well maintained gear.
    Also this shouldn't be an issue with the number of jumps on it but check your slider stops.
