  1. 1. Remind everyone on the dive that you are the cameraperson, and they must track off. The center of the formation is yours. It doesn't matter how many jumps they have tell them every time. 2. Never get directly over or under a formation. 3. If you are having a malfuction, DO NOT try to film it. Look down, locate your handles, pull, pull. Danger
  2. I have been jumping a Flat-top for several years now. I have bben able to mount as many as 2 video cameras and a still on it no problem. Many of my jumps are out of C-182 and there is no problem with space. When climbing out keep your head low . Danger
  3. Being that I am also at a Cessna dropzone, I find myself always spotting on tandem loads. This shouldn't be a problem for anyone. If you have the experience to film tandems, you should also have the experience to properly spot a load. If there are others on the load, I will let them spot, but before I get out I will double check the spot. About 25% of the time I will have to adjust the spot or request a go around. As for falling off the strut, I don't use that exit. I hang off the rear of the door. Danger
  4. I've had 2 cutaways in 1500 jumps. The first was about 8 line twists on my 120. The other was was what I thought was a bag lock. Canopy started opening just as I was pulling the cutaway. I had to carry on with my procedures. Before leaving the plane on every jump do a handles check. Also help out in the first jump course during the malfuction/emergency procedures section. Get up in the hanging harness a couple times a year. Practice prevents hesitation. Hesitation kills. Danger
  5. I would reccommend getting the largest wing possible. This way you can clip our wings over your harness to utilize the entire wing. Or, you can clip your wings UNDER your harness to create a smaller wing.
