  1. I still jump a Sabre 2 170 boat (if that is what you want to call it). I still get respect from from the best swoopers at my DZ, and if i didnt i dont give a damn. I fly that "boat" pretty good for a newbe. By the way i dont know about all the damn girl scouts that are trying to impress the swoopers at there DZ, but i dont give a damn what any of them/you think. I stay in my comfort zone and dont care what anybody thinks about it. We are not in pre school any more, some need to quit acting like we are.

  2. I would hardly say that someone who spent a couple of days getting a USPA coach rating "makes it their profession to teach."
    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    Lets see if someone is a coach and that is there source of income, then that would make it there profession. And last I checked coaches do teach new students. Get off your soap box. No one cares what you do, as a matter of fact some peolple may even think more highly of you if they didnt know that you are a PROFESOR. You are no better than anybody. Just get off your high horse.

  3. Quote

    stowing toggles right after landing does several things:

    1) less twists on break lines
    ////////////////////////////////////////////
    Do you not remove twist in your brake lines atleast one a day??? I put mine in the elastic retainers, so mine twist no more than yours.

    2) reduces the chances of packing with one or two toggles unstowed ... especially if you jump a lot and/or use a packer
    //////////////////////////////////////////////////
    I make about 8 to 12 jumps when at the DZ. I make it a point to set brake as soon as i set it down in packing are. And yes i use a packer.

    3) reduces the chances of packing with a knoted/wrapped toggle.
    ////////////////////////////////////////////////
    No cuase i check my own brake lines before i set them in the packing area.

    //////////////////////////////////////////////
    just turn 180 after landing to face incoming jumpers ...

    ////////////////////////////////
    You have more of a chance of not stowing your brakes correctly than i do becuase you are looking for other jumpers while setting yours. What if you almost get hit and forget you did not finish stowing your brakes??? I dont have to worry about getting hit while setting my brakes. Im inside putting all of my attention to setting my brakes.

  4. DO YOU have all the data that exists already? If not, why not? Have you even asked anyone at USPA what data they have? If it is not enough to satisfy you, then you can COLLECT some more.

    There's a lot of "someone should do something" going on in this thread, but no-one seems to care enough to be someone.

    No i dont have all the data that exists yet ( some of us have a real job). I dont have the abilaty to be at every DZ in the US every day they jump do you????
    That is my point about inseficient data. I did not ask USPA for all there data, but i dont have to, they have this cool thing called a web site. Its all on there you should look at it some tine. OOOOO wait of couse you know that you are the king of data.:S
    Once again you try answering my questions.

    These are two different post by you. Before and after these post you say there is plenty of data. In these two post you say we havent put enough effort in gathering data. So which is it now that you have contradicted yourself????? By the way you still havent answered my last post about not all accidents be reported.

  5. If as much effort had gone into gathering information as has gone into internet rants on the subject, it would be done by now.

    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    If anyone was REALLY serious (instead of just wanting to rant on the internet) maybe they could have started to collect said data so that by now we would have built up a profile of the alleged problem.

  6. You might wont want to read my entire post instead of skanning and replying to only part of it. I find it hard to beleive there is excelent data for such a small sport when alot of accidents dont get reported, like a 200 jump skygod with a 1.6 wingloading, getting hurt and not reporting the incedent. As i said earlier, someone like this may un size canopy and may never become a fatality in your wonderfull world of pie charts and data.
    Please answer

  7. You keep talking about actual data. As others have said, there is no good data to go by. Most canopy accidents are not reported. You know the same ones that you hear people talking about on here that made them up size their canopy. So you go ahead and keep saying the same thing over and over and over (i need more data that dosen't exist.....:S look i won this argument again) That makes no sense at all to argue just to argue.

  8. Sorry but i dont do bounch bingo. I just find hard that you say 100 are the ones to watch. At the same time you are about to hit 100 jumps with a WL of 1.5. That make me wonder what your thinking. I dont wish any harm on you or anyone else that doesnt see things the way i do. I hope you and your WL do just fine, but the odds are further stacked against you.[:/]

  11. When you book the time tell them that your in AFF and will need a coach to help you out. You will most likely do the 10 min. in 2 or three sessions. The coach will also debreif you after each session.
