  1. I have about 50 video jumps on a all zp jvx75 shooting video with some being with a full rds set up. I put 300 video jumps and 100 aff jumps on my all sail jvx69 and only had two funky openings, which were because i didnt pay attention to the slider positioning. At least 100 of the 400 on the all sail jvx69 were with an rds, some paraconcepts, the others on a custom scott roberts slider. Also have about 100 video jumps with an all sail jvx63. Only 30 of them with a full rds. I stopped jumping my all sail jvx63 as a work canopy and have turned it into just a hop n pop canopy with a full rds set up. My normal exit weight with camera gear is 180 to 185. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I dont mind sharing. My personal opinion is that you jump a bigger velo, or bigger all zp jvx, or a neos. I think the neos is a fun work canopy and has very nice openings. I have a couple videos up on my facebook of all the canopies i have mentioned here. Search Shane Shaffer. Hope this helps you some. Also I highly recommend the new UPT dbag that only has two rubber bands stow and then you free stow the rest of the line. Improved the openings of the velo 10 fold for me.

  2. I found they made it harder to pull the slider or rds rings down, but could still comfortable use them. I used them on a velo with a small stock slider, Scott Roberts rds, para concepts rds, and stock jvx69 and 63 sliders. The jvx sliders and para concepts rss rings were the tightest on the risers.

  3. I agree that the neos is a great canopy for working and is fun to swoop and really responsive. If you arent a serious swooper, as in arent doing canopy piloting competitions, I think a neos would be a great choice. I have been jumping a jvx69 and jvx63, both all sail, doing tandem videos and love the opening, and have had a cutaway on each. Both due to back pack jobs. I personally avoid taking either jvx to terminal if i have a full rds on it just because the openings are quicker. If you decide you wanna go Velocity, I would suggest getting a stowless bag from UPT. It speeds up the first part of the opening and I have had much better openings on Velocitys because of this bag. I believe UPT will be releasing the bag mid. January. The first two stows are rubberband stows, to hold the bag closed, then the rest is stowed in a pocket on the back of the bag.
Just my 2 cents. Good luck finding what you are looking for

  4. I have been jumping the newer sail material for about 300 jumps and I am packing an all sail 69 in a vector 316 as a back up rig, but my main rig is a mirage mx and I dont have any problem with the fit, they are just on the tight side in my vector, but comfortable with my mirage.....

  5. From my experience and a couple people i jump with that have neos, never heard of a hard opening......on multiple occasions i just gave the canopy a good shake then made sure the slider was quartered good and didnt tuck in the nose ever and it always opened nice.....that was a 79 loaded at 2.3 to 2.5, just my personal experiences.......

  6. I personally would recommend sail over zp any day. Have about 100 on an all zp 75 and about 25 on an all sail 69. From my limited experience I prefer the all sail opening over the zp. I have been packing both in a mirage mx with the all sail one being tight, but comfortable fit and having all grommets pretty much over lapping. I feel the all sail dives harder and stays in the dive longer then the zp jvx. Also, the all sail jvx 69 floats when in deep brakes where i didnt get that with the all zp jvx 75. For example I was staying up with a person on a sabre2 170 loaded at 1 to 1 and I am loading the all sail about 2.6 to 1, which wasnt possible under the all zp jvx 75. So thats just my 2 cents with my limited experience on the two wings

  7. Extra break down of payment? Top 5 overall at every meet. Not top 5 pros and top 5 ams. Same number of places would be handed out as was at Raeford. The only difference between the scores now and my idea is that there would be two different sheets. One with just the pros scores on it and one with just the ams scores on it. Meaning there would be 6 100 handed out for pros and 6 for ams. Basically it would be like two seperate meets run together, and the top 5 scores overall would get paid. That way the pros see how they compared to the other pros and the ams see how they do compared to the ams.

  8. Well, I suggested that the pros be scored as one group and the ams as their own group. This means it would be like a pro meet and am meet being held at the same time. As far as the competitors go this wont affect us. Also, it would mean that there would be 6 100 handed out to the pros and 6 100 to the ams. I think this is a better idea because then each will be able to see how they compare against the catagory in which they are competing. Then the top 5 places overall from the meet would be paid out. I brought this up to eric florio, who is doing all the entering of the scores, and he informed me it wouldnt take at most 5 minutes to do it this way. Just curious if others would support this.

  9. Hey, I could be wrong, but I thought pd is using a different slider for their comp velos. Which they made after scott's was approved by pd to be used on their canopys and they backed it up. I personally with always jump scott's rds, [http://www.peaengineering.com/RDS.htm], I think its the best and it has ony caused me to have better openings. I jumped an RDS like justme12001 made and found it gave me harder/ faster openings. Just me thoughts and 2 cents

  10. I would totally be up for it. I love that kind of stuff and am not able to do enough here because of stuff like mike said. I will be at the farm friday, saturday, and prob. half the day sunday, so I vote we do at least one there
