  1. I'm eager to do both. Free Fall Skydiving is definitely a little bit more enjoyable then military static line jumping. Since I'm a cadet right now I have a few years before I can be assigned to an active army airborne unit, so until then... all my jumps will have to be fun jumps.
  2. His recent comments about a military campaign in Pakistan to destroy the terrorist haven in the NW Tribal Frontier Region on the Afghan Border were very, very weird. For someone so insistent that the war in Iraq is such a disasterous quagmire, he's pretty cavalier about starting another, probabally bigger, war. Pakistan has a population 6 times that of Iraq and that is renowned for it's anti-american sentiment. They simply hate us. Their intelligence service (The ISI) practically founded the Taliban and, lets not forget, they have a sizable supply of nuclear weapons. Granted, US Troops going into the Tribal Regions doesn't neccesarily mean that Mushareff's government would collapse but many think that's exactly what would happen. If he's going to send troops there, he needs to be prepared to invade and occupy the rest of the country to prevent radical islamists getting power and nukes. And frankly, THAT occupation would make Iraq look like a sunday walk in the park.
  3. I'm a facebook addict, just like most college students. I check it several times a day and would probabally get my papers done faster if I cut out the facebook breaks, lol.
  4. Hey everybody! I'm new to the site and to skydiving, Did my first jump on my 18th Birthday a little over a year ago and went again last spring. First jump was tandem, second was solo. I'm a college student and a Army ROTC cadet and I got a chance to go to Jump School this summer. Graduated about a month ago where I did 5 static line jumps. Anyways, I'm looking forward to getting a lot more involved with skydiving, maybe even getting certified if I can afford it in the future. Just thought I'd introduce myself
