  1. You should try it under a T10 with a B4 Harness, a Mortar Plate or M60 Machine Gun and about 80lbs of additional crap hanging from your leg! Blue Skies but Remember "Gravity Sucks"
  2. I was warmly welcomed by the staff but mostly ignored by the regulars in the course of my 3 day stay. This DZ is the definition of "clique". I was never asked about my experience level or ever invited on a skydive by any regular. I can't remember that ever happening at any DZ I've ever visited in all my years in the Sport. If it wasn't a staff member I was jumping with it was always solo's. I went for the Summer Boogie and the opportunity to jump with Freefly and RW Load Organizers. I even ask manifest to set me up with a LO but I was never approached or invited to participate in a organized skydive. The Freefly Organizer seemed more interested in jumping with the same 3 young ladies all weekend and the RW Organizer promised he'd get back to me but never did. Thankfully the Landing area is large and spread out along the runway because I witnessed numerous 270 and 180 HS landing patterns executed with total disregard to traffic. The HS swoopers seemed pampered and unwilling to break off a pattern. If you want to land in the main area please keep that in mind but I just moved my landings further down the runway although it resulted in a much longer walk. Mostly these are excellent canopy pilots but I wish they had a little more regard for others. This DZ has alot to offer and the Facilities are nice enough. Good Showers but not enough restrooms. I'm reluctant to return for the reasons stated above, Hopefully things improve safety wise and they edit the description on Dropzone.com because they no longer fly an Otter but a Caravan. The Caravan is nice with lots of windows but seemed slower then other Caravans I jumped from. Unless I bring friends with me to jump with I doubt I'll return anytime soon.
  3. This was my 3rd DZ Stop in 3 weeks as I enjoyed my 6 week Skydiving Vacation. I spent 8 awesome days at CSC. The facilities for extended stays right at the DZ are outstanding with power and RV hook-ups, a never ending hot water supply in the Shower House and a super staff that cares about the comfort and well being of their visitors. I marvel at the outstanding aircraft the PAC 750 is an amazingly comfortable fast climbing jump ship with a front float porch that allowed our large 8-10 ways to launch large chunks. The Otter is simply a skydiving monster. All the pilots communicated well with the experienced skydivers and Dan the loader and the A&P always asked for input on spots and constantly monitored the winds aloft and made sure everyone was on the same page in the landing area, which itself is large and generous. Lots of Banners and Flags as well as a gated swoop area makes this one of the safest landing areas I've ever jumped. Kudo's to CSC for the extra attention to safety details! I also observed the interaction from the staff to students and their visitors. It is almost impossible to not recieve a friendly smile and a hello from any staff member that see you. The manifest with Lisa and Melissa constantly ask if they can help you in anyway and they keep the aircraft turning effectively. The Pro Shop is well stocked and modern. The whole facility is constantly being kept clean and comfortable. Special Kudo's to the onsite restaurant, the quality of the food and service is unmatched by any DZ's I've ever been at. The availability of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner certainly made adding an extra jump or 2 for the day alot easier. I highly recommend Chicagoland Skydiving Center DZ to any and all. It's almost impossible not to enjoy the Best our Sport has to offer at Chicagoland Skydiving Center. Thanks for the great time and I shall return!
  4. Kak sti vu druge? The Serbians have a long and proud history in the Sport of Skydiving. Some of the finest Skydivers I've ever jumped with so your in a great place to learn. If you see a old guy with a very long white beard packing tell Rada I say hello. Glad to have you in the sport. Quote Blue Skies but Remember "Gravity Sucks"
  5. I've heard a lot about it here on the West Side of the State. Really looking forward to attending it this year and I hear you guys have a brand new Caravan! Blue Skies but Remember "Gravity Sucks"
