  1. The Perris Fury Project is building another 4-way team. Perris Fury has now completed their 4-way team with the addition of Todd Hawkins. In order to continue growing the project, they are looking at putting together a second team with the goal of competing at a high level in the open category. In addition to competing and working with Perris Fury, the new team members will continue to grow the sport of formation skydiving through coaching, organizing and putting together even more exciting FS events at Skydive Perris. Both Flemming Andersen and Kristina Peterson just moved to Perris to become part of the project and are looking for two more people who want to take on the challenge of training hard and becoming immersed in the world of relative work. The Fury team-building event over Thanksgiving weekend gave Flemming and Kristina the opportunity to jump with some perspective teammates. Flemming Andersen has been part of the Danish National 4-way Team Project for four years, most recently on the team Bodyflight Voluntas that competed at the World Meet in 2010 in Menzelinsk Russia. He will continue on the Danish national 4-way team and has put together an 8-way team to compete for Denmark at the World Meet in 2011. Bodyflight Voluntas and the 8-way team has a very light training schedule for the year 2011 so Flemming will have plenty of time to train on this new Perris 4-way team. Kristina Peterson has been competing in 4-way for 10 years. In 2006 she competed at the World Meet in Gera Germany with Elsinore Select the US 4-way FS female team. In 2008 and 2009 she was inside center for Sebastian Tempest which was one of the top amateur 4-way teams in the US. In 2010 she was the player coach for the intermediate team Deland Dunamis and a member of Perris Moxie 8-way team which was the highest scoring amateur 8-way team at the 2010 US Nationals. She will continue as a member of Perris Moxie in 2011 in addition to the new 4-way team in Perris. This new team will be a guest team at the USPA Nationals in 2011 so the nationalities of these two people do not matter. Perris Fury and P3 (Perris Performance Plus) have done a great job over the last five years of building interest in relative work and creating opportunities for skydivers of all levels to learn, progress and compete. These projects continue to grow so there is an increased need for additional qualified coaches and organizers. Anyone interested in being part of the 4-way team or in upcoming events at Skydive Perris please contact Kristina at [email protected]
  2. Thanks for sharing the interview link. Chip was a super nice guy and I'm grateful for the time I got to work with him. As we would say in the Arizona desert - It's hump day, but it's a dry hump. Blue skies Chip!
  3. What an honor it is to have known and spent time with Shindig. I watched the video he put together after World Meet '06 and it reminded me of what an energetic, funny, all-around good guy Shindig was. I'm sad that you have left us, but am so grateful to be able to say you were my friend and teammate. WWCD? - What would Chuck (Norris) do?
  4. Rumor has it that XL came out to play and is beating both women's teams... Puts an interesting twist on things. If XL is there to qualify for the World Meet 2008 slot then only one women's team will get to go to the World Meet and it will be in the female category (assuming XL stays in the lead). Adds a little more fire to the competition for the women now...
  5. I think Gary Smith is jumping with Optic Nerve. That in addition to his coaching Fastrax makes me think that Groove won't be playing. But, the buzz around Deland is that some lineups won't be known until Friday night. Will be fun to watch!
