  1. Sweet... I'd be interested in a protective box of sorts... I didn't have one for mine and it's somewhere in the dessert at elsinore... Definately wanting to prevent that again... cheth at hotmail.com Thanks!!! Chet
  2. So I shouldn't allow the unavailability of an OEM battery make my decision then. If the PC1 (which I had and loved) doesn't look for the chip then I am ok as far as batteries go. I shot at least 50 tandem videos with the pc-1 and I dont recall ever being dissapointed with the video as long as I had munched the right buttons prior to exit. I liked the functionality of the PC series, the buttons etc... The PC I thought I remembered a "fader" button that chose the last fader you used..I didn 't notice that feature on the HC-32 but I could be wrong... as far as picture stabilization and quality I am "guessing" they're close to comparable? No doubt this will be side mounted as I have some L brackets around as well as a box for a HC... Thanks Chet
  3. Somoene mentioned you can get the PC series on ebay for $50-75. Did you find that to be the case or am I mislead? Chet
  4. Sony PC-1 Batteries just in case anyone needs some.... http://www.ebatts.com/sony_dcr-pc1_camcorder_accessories.aspx http://www.priorityelectronics.com/sony/np-fs22.htm http://www.batterystandard.com/products/camcorder/Sony/DCR-PC1.html
  5. So your saying that you can NOT buy new batteries for a sony PC-1? I find that amazing as have been buying electronics for 30 years and can buy batteries for things that are 20 years old and have not been produced in 15!! I haven't watched ebay in a long time but $50-75 for a mini DV camera in excellent condition? WOW I guess I don't feel as bad loosing mine in Elsinore last winter. This camera has extra batteries and has never been jumped. Thanks

  9. Hey folks... I was wondering if theres a box of some sort for a dcr handycam... I've seen them for sony PC series but not having any luck... Looking to side mount a dcr on an invertigo x Thanks Blue Skies Chet
  10. Was thinking of getting my wife a pro-dytter and the goggle mount since she refuses to wear a helmet. Was wondering if anyone jumps one. I would think it it would slap around and beat the side of her head silly. Thanks in advance!!!! Blu_Skyzzz
  11. Still trying to choose a camera to buy :( I decided to pass on the PC-7 I found for $500 because of what people said about the clarity and lack of features. Now I have found a PC-1 for $650. Has a longer lasting battery with it and claims it to be in new condition only used a few vacations (not jumped). Downfalls of this camera? I believe this model had the carl zeiss lens and a bunch of digital features (overlay etc) also I think it has the ilink to transfer etc. All advice is greatly appreciated BLU SKYZZZZZZZZzzzz
  12. I just found a mint condition PC-7 in its original box etc etc. I haven't been able to find any positive reviews on this unit. Does anyone use this camera? like it? downfalls? Thanks a bunch Chet
  13. Digital stills are not very important to me. I am also looking at buying a canon elph 110. the 2.1mp still camera thats very small. It doesnt have a shutter release (yet) but I can modify that. I just want to be able to safely video my wife and others jumping with me. someday maybe get into videoing tandems or something to pay for some jumps. I guess my question is. What are the differences between the models. I see PC-5's for sale, I found a 7 for $550 (but it was sold already), I see pc-100's on e-bay and see various prices on new 9's & 110's. What will I loose if I find a used 5 or 7 vs buying a new 9 or 110?
  14. Looking for some advice on which camera to purchase. I have an Invertigo X helmet with chin cup. I found a PC-7 for sale in mint condx for $550. I can buy a PC-9 for $1100 I also have found a refurburshed PC-110 at the Sony plant in PA for $800 Trying to keep costs down as much as possible for more jump tickets. Are there enough differences between the PC-7 and others to warrant the extra money? It will be my first camera so it is all new to me. Any advice is greatly appreciated.. Blue Skize Chet
