This is my first helmet, I bought it mail order after looking at pictures, and of course, prices. (new jumper just off student status). What can I say, you get what you pay for. The shell is thin & lightweight. The padding is not the greatest. It does however fit very well, and the optional ear closure devices are pretty cool, I will be buying the attachment avalable from gath to put my dytter in. Visibility is great.As soon as it either wears out or cracks I'll by a hurricane or a z1. If your on a tight budget & a better helmets will cost you jumps. buy a gath & jump. Blue skies

hey dude fellow newbie here...I considered tunnel time after level 4 went bad (first release dive) I talked to my instructors & they said " if yoou feel like it will help you do it"...I didn't & went on to complete my aff in 8 jumps total...my instructors are the best.....listen to yours..make your first jump then ask em to eveluate you...get video & learn from it....blue skies

no kiddin on the waitin part LOL...on my level 1 I sat around till flippin sunset....but got to make the sunset load ON MY FIRST JUMP ! how cool is that !!

As a new jumper just off student status all I can say is GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!.... blue skies !
