I renewed on line last week and got my new card in one week.

I have had DAN life insurance in addition to life insurance through my employer. There are no exclusions through DAN and they even pay more if you die scuba diving. I am 45 years old and pay less than $700 a year for $200K.

I had a speck of something on mine but it wasn't on the lens. I had to take it apart and remove the lens (which I was going to do anyway to put on my Ragecams lens). I removed the speck of whatever it was with a Q-tip from the plate behind the lens and it was fine after that.

Why waste perfectly good skydiving money in the tunnel. I live 15 minutes from the tunnel and doubt I will ever be in it.

I'm sure you will be back much quicker. One of my friends had a canopy collapse two weeks after I got hurt. He ended up paralyzed from the waist down and had a leg amputated. I decided I couldn't afford for that to happen. Ten years later I got brave again.

That patellar tendon graft is a bitch to recover from. Going aggressive on the PT was the key for me. I was wakeboarding (with the brace) in less than a year.

I haven't tried the Sunex lens but I put the Ragecams 4mm on mine and I like it a LOT.

BTW, if you're currently employed, also consider disability insurance that defrays some loss of income if an injury puts you out of work for a while. (AFLAC is but one example of that.) Health insurance usually does not cover this.

AFLAC and Colonial both exclude skydiving just FYI. I have Colonial.

I wouldn't have been back flying in 1996 with an ROL pilot chute and I wouldn't have jumped a still wet main from the jump before.

I remember jumping with him at Titusville back in the mid 90's. I didn't know him well but jumped with him several times, great guy.

I've been lurking this thread since you started. Glad to see your project finished, looks and sounds great!

Started out as an Infantry Paratrooper in the 82nd ABN DIV. Learned to skydive with the "Green Beret Sport Parachute Club" at Ft Bragg. Still jump today at Z-hills.

I have had this model for about a year and I like it. It won't always get you to an airport DZ but it usually gets you close enough to find it.
