  1. Been calling SCK my home DZ for over 15 years!!! It's gone through some amazing and startling changes over those years and has re-emerged, with Pico and Nadia running it, as a revitalized powerhouse in the skydiving world! Even at it's low point, the DZ's strong knit community and fiercely loyal core of employees, fun jumpers and support kept it afloat and continue to help usher it back in it's return to greatness! Welcome back SCK!
  2. Had the opportunity to make a jump from a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress recently and it definitely ranks up there with my top 5 all time memorable jump ships. The others? The Perris DC-9, Casas, Skyvans and several types of helicopters. What are some of yours? Now accepting submissions for witty, profound signature line. Attractive women may apply in person, naked.
  3. Anyone know which planes are still flying up at Sky's the Limit in East Stoudsburg? Wanna head up there tomorrow but ate too much at Thanksgiving to try a Cessna 183 ride- Now accepting submissions for witty, profound signature line. Attractive women may apply in person, naked.
  4. Looking for a safe and reliable dz near Munich. I will be visiting there for 3 days and would love to make a jump or 3. Would prefer a dz that can rent me a rig if possible, so I wouldn't need to drag mine along. Is this possible? Now accepting submissions for witty, profound signature line. 5. DAAAMMMNNN! Sweet rig- So, how were you lucky enough to get a new Vector with only 62 jumps? Sheesh! I hadda wait until I had at least a hundred+ before I could even think of ordering a new Vector II. Until then, I was jumping a VERY used, very old Vector I- Not quite a WonderHog. It came with a field modified/ installed BOC. The Vector II has now become a custom Vector3. Welcome to the club! Now accepting submissions for witty, profound signature line. 6. Anyhow, I verified jump numbers before selling it. I had offers from people with 100 jumps and wouldn't sell it to them. I couldn't in good conscience. Good for you. I know there are a lot of scrupled skydivers out there that are concerned about keeping our sport safe and out of the headlines (in a negative light). Sadly, there are those who are more interested in making a buck or getting their item sold regardless. Thanks for looking out for newbies and low-timers! 9. I'm one of the few, the proud, the battle scarred who liked his Diablo. But it was zippy and I'm surprised some responsible gear dealer let you into that with so few jumps. Or did you buy it off the classifieds? Gave mine up when the end cell ruptured two times in as many months. Tried to find some used ones out there. Finally, Aerodyne offered me half off a new Pilot rather than repair my Diablo and I've been flying a 168 ever since. Just curious- been a long time since I owned mine but I had a 175- did they really come in a 170 size as well? If your's was a 175 I might have been willing to make an offer. 10. Oddly enough, the Ranch is one place I have not jumped at after 12 years in the sport and visiting all the other DZ's in the region. I will have to rectify that. Better still, I'll bring along my wife so I can make good on my after-jumping activities. Now accepting submissions for witty, profound signature line. Attractive women may apply in person, naked.
  11. Howdy fellow plummet-ers. Though I've been a member on here for a few years (even sold some gear on here) I have never formally introduced myself. Jimbo's the name and fallin' fast is the game. Actually, for 245 lbs. out the door, I have a pretty good fall rate. I'm a 42 YO C license holder with 540 + jumps including sit flying, wing suit jumps, tracking, a handful of disasterous free flying, some 4 way comp, and a whole bunch of big way and fun RW's. I've done some tunnel time in NH and FL and have been to one WFFC in Rantoul- I even jumped the jet and did I high altitude out of Mike Mullin's King Air. I'm jumping outta Cross Keys in Jersey (not sure what exit...) mostly but have been around; TX, FL, NY, PA, DE, MA, IL and soon, CA. Which brings me to my next item: My wife (who now enjoys the sport; 90 jumps- A license, solid flying skills for her time in) and I will be out in CA. from the 17th of March until roughly, the 22nd. We plan to visit Perris and Elsinore while out there. If any fun jumpers in those areas are planning on being around the DZ's during that time, it'd be great to have a few friendly faces to jump with. Particularly my wife, who is really jonesing to get some experience with some intermediate level belly flyers. I am no sky god; I will jump with whomever, unless your a full contact skydiver (no control). Drop me a line and let me know when you'll be out and at which DZ and we'll try to meet up. Peace!
