First let's start with customer service. Strong Enterprises STRIVES at all cost to make jumpers happy. They have excellent turn time on building new rigs and stand behind their products 125%. The patented spring flaps in the reserve system are a major PLUS! When I popped my reserve for repack, the pilot and bridal came out to full extension in a split second because those side flaps clear theirselves of the pilot chute. You don't need those 40 lbs springs like other manufacturers to clear all that material in the way. Comfort is 2nd to none! It's feels great suited up and while under canopy. This container in a short time will replace those "designer" groupies fairly quickly. I highly recomend you buy one

It's cool Tammie..... I've got thick skin and besides, I enjoy getting ripped on. LOL Who doesn't?!?! I tried to stand upwind on the previous reputation of the DZ in hopes to make a difference, but saw that I was taking more ownership then the ones who own the articles of incorporation. I truly wanted to see the DZ grow into something big. Brian even knew that I bought windblades for it just to be nice. I wasn't expecting anything in return, I just wanted to help out. In regards to Cathy at Fernandina Beach, I'd like to find out how to contact her. I live on Amelia Island and stopped by the airport three times in the last month. The clerk at McGill Aviation says he knows that some people have jumped recently but doesn't know how to contact her. Last but not least, I'm down with the wingsuit someday after I have more experience. FYI, I won't fail the package check! I have no intention of helping to finance a website that promotes dangerous behavior amongst skydivers. The website started out innocent enough. People would post their lame sit-fly videos and coach jumps so they could show off how “legit” they were. Things have changed. Now it has become a contest to see who can come as close to death as possible, while catching it on tape. People are running out and buying cameras just so they can catch their next cut away or cliff strike. As one of the most outspoken and respected voices amongst the DZ.com community, I feel it necessary to say “throw those piece of shit camera helmets in the fucking trash can!” Stop trying to be trendy. The camera look is getting old. Every 100 jump wonder wants one. When we stop acting like sheep, only then can the lemur evolve into a talking ape. Hey everyone..... I know that most of us enjoy watching the great footage which is uploaded by our fellow jumpers to www.SkyDivingMovies.com however we have a current issue which needs to be addressed. The guy that runs the website does it soley out of the kindness from his heart and the passion for our sport. In addition, he pays for the monthly maintenence from his own pocket which was running around $350.00 per month. We don't know how much longer he will be able to carry that burden from a cost stand point and we are asking everyone to help chip in. You can donate thru PayPal by using one of the links provided the next time you watch another great video on that website. The amount of bandwidth required to keep her afloat due to the demand and growth is insane. Do what you can to help........ it's the least we can do.

Don't know.... I guess that depends on the demand. Keep in mind that I'm new to the sport, however I know commitment when I see it. The managers that run Skydive Jax give everything they've got. If you didn't know any better you would've thought they owned it for the love of the sport. Hopefully she'll grow to the point where Greg brings one in. The DZ in Fernandina was kicked out by Nassau county in 1998 after that Planet Radio stunt that ended in a life flight. (So I'm told from the locals after moving here) Does anyone else find it funny that we made a SPORT out of an EMERGENCY PROCEDURE?!?!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to say that Skydive Jacksonville is now running more fun jumpers again as oppose to just tandems. Greg and Patty are sending the C-206 from California this week and will be sending up more fun jumpers. I know that there are many other DZ's in Florida that are larger and well established but I wanted to post this to represent my home DZ because the managers have really taken this place from "nothing" to "something fun" in just one year. Hats off to Karen and Alan for growing Skydive Jacksonville and I'm excited to see where we will be in just another year. I encourage anyone locally in the JAX area or northeast Florida to come out and visit us.
