  1. Hello everyone, Just to say many thanks for all the messages of support after the recent events. To those of you who aren't aware (where have you been?!!) our bar and beloved dayroom was recently burnt down. We are very sad - it's the end of an era as we've had it for nearly 35 years and I know the dayroom was like a second home to a lot of you!. Looking on the bright side - no-one was hurt and we should soon have brand new facilities in it's place. It's also a sad farewell to Pete and Jake who have recently left. We tragically lost the two goldfish and Del's collection of snow globes which were also destroyed in the fire. (Although Del has already started a new collection! Donations welcome...) The skydiving side of things hasn't been affected - apart from the obvious lack of facilities, (and temporary loss of power). We now have power back to the bunk rooms and the outside toilets and showers are working with hot & cold water. We can certainly provide you with tea and coffee and there is also drinks, snacks and sandwiches available from the aero club. We've temporarily moved into the front hangar which is working well with heated gearing up rooms/manifest/DZ control. The packing shed is as always heated in the winter months. So just to let you know that Sibson is open as usual - weekends only at the minute and full time in March. Hope to see you all soon, Sibson Staff
