  1. Well sure. All the time. Isn't that a new requrement for your D license"?
  2. Thank goodness. I thought you required to initiate hook turns at 50' at Lodi....... and well.... that might be a problem with someone with 10 jumps...not me of course but someone with 10 jumps well....sure :o)
  3. Can someone please comment on this video regarding the "correct" route to land at Lodi? It looks suspiciously like a radical hook turn initiated at about 50 feet. http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2009/01/28/beckford.skydiving.crash.kovr
  4. Will a PC 101 fit in my PC 9 box w/o trouble? Thanx
  5. Here's a GREAT tip for just about anyone looking for quality health insurance at a reasonable rate. The trick of course is to get a GROUP rate. If you are an individual, perhaps just lost your job, your best bet is to join your local COC. You don't need a Federal tax number...any job category will do.... Most COC's offer a plan called "Chamber Choice" it's their group health plan. Since you are now part of a group, you cannot be discrimated against....for any reason.
  6. 83... love it! http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/11/11/bush.skydive.ap/index.html
  7. For those of you who knew Billy Bishop but haven't been around the DZ in a few months, we lost Billy on May 22, 2006 following a protracted illness. On Saturday August 12, 2006 Billy's ash jump will take place in Parkman, Ohio. A Casa is scheduled so all who cared for and jumped with Billy are invited to attend. Blue skies Billy Bishop C

    Problem

Climbed onto the camera step of the local Porter & noticed my durn reserve handle done come unstowed. Climbed back in after the 2 groups left and secured it...got dropped off at 6k. Initial consensus was that it was the right thing to do. Pilot had a different opinion and after he explained his reasoning, we agreed with him. Shoulda bailed and covered the handle until pull time. There is nothing in the SIMS about this particular matter. Opinions? Aloha
