  1. There are some fine people at Skydive Greensburg (Jay Stokes, John Judy and Gene Newsom). These 3 guys are the nicest and most helpful people I've met there. The only problem I have at SDG are the cliques. There are a bunch of young people with 100+ jumps that don't want you to jump with them. I always feel like an outsider. When I show up, and get my gear on, nobody asks me if I want to join in on their formation. Since I don't have any friends that I can jump with, I'm usually a solo freeflyer. I've dropped a load of money jumping at SDG, and the DZO doesn't even remember my name. So, unless you can make friends easily, plan on jumping alone, because no one will jump with you if they don't know you, they won't even talk to you, especially if you're a student or a new A license recipient.
  2. I've got a pretty big melon (23.5") too. I tried on an Oxygn A3 and it wouldn't even go over my nose. I bought a FreeZR with size L pads and it fits snug; I wouldn't want it to fly off in freefall. You don't feel claustrophobic in it either, and it has great panoramic field of vision. My opinion is that the FreeZR is "top of the line" in RW helmets. I also bought a BH Mindwarp for FF'ing and it fits great too!
