  1. Hey everyone I'm looking for a fullface helmet that would fit a head size 62cm or 24 3/8. I know that paratec makes one called FREEZR, have anyone tried it? Is their any other possibilities? Blue skies
  2. Hi everybody!!! Does anyone know if there is a dropzone or a place to jump at Crete? I have bin looking around with no luck! Blue ones!!!
  3. Keep going. I think every skydiver no the feeling of not being able to jump enough. Even if you'll get 80 or 100 or even more a year. There will always be periods where every thing seems to go wrong. Where the weather is only good when you ain't able to jump. So what? If you don't get'em this month you'll get them next month. One of the tricks to get as many as possible is to go to the DZ whenever possible. even if the weather looks bad. With a bit of luck even the worst days make a lift or 2 possible. And if the weather don't get better have so beer with all the other frustrated skydivers! So stay in the sport!!
  4. As a starter I think it is important to determine if the jumper is a student or a jumper with licence jumper! If it's a student i guess the the dropzone should take all responsibilities, except from the lost handles. If it on the other hand is a jumper whit C licence or above they have more responsibility towards the rented gear. I what degree they have to pay depends on the DZ and the price. But the DZ should have some kind of policy!
  5. Is it possible to do para-sailing whit a squared main? or only whit modified t-10 (round)?
  6. Hey everyone! In Denmark I think most dropzones focus more on exit and freefall skills. But we are starting to see Canopy Control courses as well. About the difference between AFF and Static-line, I think that static-line students gets a better understanding of canopy control in the beginning at least, because of the many hop-a-pops. I talked to an instructor about it once and he agreed that AFF students often use the radio longer and uses longer time to handle basic canopy control. I guess that's because the use a lot of energy on the exit and freefall part right form the beginning. But in the end i think static line and AFF students end up at the same level.
  7. Do you have a link to the page/server? Like to see that one...
  8. I get a massage that says the site has been suspenden, is that right? If so that's to sad
  9. I read it a couple of times. It's a quite good book but there is no doubt that a lot of the info you'll get at the DZ anyway. Guess it is perfect during your first 20 -30 jumps... But then??? But the quetes are just great!
  10. Well when you have read and sign the thing it is legally binding, at least in denmark. It has been proven i court. A guy was doing a tandem when the main malfunctioned. Something went wrong a the tandem master pulled is handels incorrect. I can't remember the hole story.. But sadly the tandem master lost his life but the passenger lived whit minor injuries. He tryed to sue the club but lost do the thing he signed.
  11. Hey thanks for the nice video´s.... Really good stuff.. The only thing missing is a little more before exit.. And am I the only one with out sound or are they that way? But any way thanks a lot
  12. Hey out there! Anydoby got a link to a Student exit from a Cessna 206? I try to convince some of my non skydiving friends to try it and would like to show them what it's like!!! Might not shown them this first, but what the hell
  13. I see your point, there are a lot of talk about the hard openings of a Sabre!!! But I guess they ain't all the same! I havent had a hard opening yet, but what i noticed is that the more careful you pack it the harder it opens. Yet remember no real hard openings. I dot say you shouldent pack it carefully but don't over do it!!! And even though the Sabre im an jumping is my first parachute ad people tells me that you can get much softer openings with other brands I would have no problem in recomandig it as a good first buy!
  14. Well I jump a rather old Sabre 170, loaded whit around 1.25 or a little more. I have never had a hard opening, the only thing is that it tends to turn about 90 degrees left just after opening. I always roll the nose tightly and the tail as well. And I always 1/4 the slider, no problems. Some says that if you have a Sabre that continues to have hard openings you should fit it whit a slider that are around a inch broader and weider, I wouldn't know!! As your first canopy, good choice!! Blue Skies
