  1. This is a top DZ if you are a traveling jumper and want a good aircraft, easy landing area and an overall cool vibe. Didn't have the greatest Sat nite party, but maybe that was because they did 30 loads in the PAC that clear, summer day (inc 100 tandems). Great rental gear for 19 Euros incl pack job. Jumps to 13K feet are 30 Euros.Loved the big monitor that tells you EXACTLY how many minutes until you load for your jump. No bunkhouse but you can camp and park your van. A short video is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfC40ztoOq4 Fun DZ. Go Jump.
  2. After visiting a number of dropzones in the world, the Stockholm club stands out. It is foremost a club, so EVERYONE pitches in.. even if you are just a visitor. This keeps the jump prices some of the cheapest in Europe. A great cafe/bar and food all day, sauna at night, good bunkhouse, twin otter and a landing zone that even roundies could find means even jumpers of every experience level can have a good, safe time. The scenery is good, though not like jumping in the Alps. The weather is the only potential downside and summer is the best time.I visited in the last week of June and had some great weather. If you are looking for a summer jump spot, you will be hard pressed to find better. If you really want to see Swedes in their natural state, buy a case of beer and take it to the sauna...
  3. Has anyone ever jumped in Ghana? I'm going to be there for a few weeks and thought I'd try and do a few jumps... doesn't look like there are any drop zones, but maybe there is a military contact or private pilot someone knows who will take me up... any help is greatly appreciated.. bloosk eyes Peter
  4. Hi... I've received some info from Liam McNulty [email protected] about jumps, jumpers and deaths done for the IPF. he has 6.33 million jumps for 2004 reported from 39 countries with an avg of 16 jumps per jumper and 82 fatalities for an average of one per 77,000 jumps and 4,900 jumpers. File is attached. - he who climbs into a plane and mounts into the blue, then dives to dare the sea of air, has drunk the magic brew
