  1. yea the loop passes through it for cutaway, that one. no i do not yet have my a, and i am sure there was no rsl cause when i checked the reserve pin i checked to see that i could move the wire that leads to the cutaway handle freely and there was not a ring inthe middle of the other 2 and no rsl. i was fine w/ that though.
  2. rented so gear this weekend from a dz that was new to me. i did a gear check, i was tought that the grommits behind the 3 rings should be touching. these were not, they were hanging out like 3/4"! i asked my coach and he said it was fine, no big deal, the jump went fine but i wanted to ask about that. aslo there was no rsl, so no grommits there.
  3. hey what's up marion and nick, noah here from boone, we are under more than 3" of snow CURRENTLY, so i hope there is nice weather at css for saftey day, if not i am not driving 3.5 plus hours! that sucks! later noah at asu
  4. well thanks all for the good advice. i think i will order one rather than print it out. i never doubted the value of the info, come on! lol but thanks all. cute website tami
  5. i was told to get one, then someone said it wasn't worth it. i looked at it online but wanted some opinions. thanks
  6. woo, just asking because i saw some chutes advertised as a reserve or a main.
  7. what where? i didn't see any tempo 2003 model for $550! i would buy it, the one i was talking about was a 97 for $500
  8. oh... so then you don't think i should get it? even w/ out the tapes, it is still safe no? i mean i am not going to be doing any free flying w/ this rig, just all belly flying to get some jumps under my belt... what do you think?
  9. well the tempo i was looking at was made in 1997 and has no rides.... for $500 sounds like a safe reserve and at a good price. wonder if it has re-enforcement tapes? anyone know? thanks for all the help noah
  10. thanks! i just read that the tempos have turn built in? wtf? i don't know about that! lol! but yea i wasn't talking about using the tempo as a main, just reserves in general, i see a lot on the classifieds that look like they would be a good first main. the rig i have now is a fury 220, w/ about 500 jumps on it, i have yet to jump it but people keep scaring me! ahhh!
  11. i was wondering if a tempo 170 is a good reserve, is $500 a good deal for one? also i was told you can use a reserve as a main, but then never as a reserve again, true right? sounds like something i might do any suggestions? noah
  12. well does all this count for f-111? i was told that f-111 is more forgiving than zero p. but anyway, is there alimit on packs for a f-111 reserve? i was looking at buying a a strong g2r and it was made in 1990, think it's safe?
  13. haha, naw it's nothing like that! lol it's in very good condition!
  14. well the reason you would spray it is because it lands hard?? i may call the guy that told me about it and try to find out from the guy who is doing it, maybe there is some way they can keep it from coating every part of the parachute so it won't slam. or maybe i should get good at plf's till i can get a zero p! lol!
