QuoteOf course, Goat is there as you already now, and we shall hook you up with some fun times.
There are several awesome freefly chicks around, including Chicago Cheryl and her other half, Jeff. Deva isn't around a lot, since her job moved her away, but trust me the dz hasn't managed to ditch its freefly crowd.
Goat is going to be with me this weekend in Austin! HA!!! bout damn time I get my boyfriend to myself... greedy freefliers...
next weekend we'll both be at aggieland... thanks for the props Sis
Ciao!

Kevin - thanks for posting this. I was there and got to dance with the Daddy Sugar Glider... I'm in absolute shock
Roger - you were always fun, relaxing and radiated a good vibe. Thank you for all you've brought to this world, including your 2 beautiful children.
Missy and Rook - my love and condolences.
~Deva~Quotei know this isn't the best video in the world, but it's all I have of rodger - shot at the mardi gras boogie this year.. during the party showing rodger having a good time 'ravin' he comes up and says "i am a sugar glider"

So Robert Smith - how many people ask you if you're in the Cure?
Where in Austin do you live?
The best way to predict the future is to invent it.
Dereck (Goat) and I will be there (not that I'll be ready by May - but I have been participating in the big way skills camps...).
I believe Jon McCollum and Brandon will be down also.
Of course you can't count them in based on what I say - but, they should be there The best way to predict the future is to invent it.
I have full covergage through work which covers injuries, plus supplemental life through USPA that covers death and serious injuries (such that I could no longer work).
The supplemental is very reasonable - as little as $60 for $25,000 coverage. I went to the max $100,000 - only $240/yr

Don't forget the sex!QuoteYeah, we are all of age. :) Its the humidity and unpolluted air of freefall that keeps us looking so young.

AggieDave - You know me!!! I'm a hard-core vegetarian (I do eat honey - so not vegan), but I think I look pretty healthy. Freaksis posted a nice picture of Dallas chics - I'm the one in the butterfly shirt.QuoteAlthough most of the people that I've ever known that were hard-core vegitarian and the couple real vegans I knew didn't look too healthy, too thin and frail looking.
Tofu, legumes and nuts have alot of protein, more easily digested than animal protein and with 'healthy' fat. Also many leafy greens are high in protein.
Most people do not incorporate these into their diet tho', so if someone decided to 'go vegetarian' and just cut out meat - they would probably wind up pretty malnourished.

well - it's fits well - not too much drag
but the design points to a certain part of my anatomy that was not obvious on paper....

This weekend we're doing skills camps. They're working towards a world record attempt, but anyone can attend - the final cut won't be made until July

FUSIONFEST is a boogie that will focus on hybrid dives - therefore the use of fusion
All fliers are welcome and encouraged to participate!

I love my FMC suit as well! Although I didn't realize when designing it that it draws attention to a certain part of my anatomy...

The first of 4 Freefly Big Way Skills Camps, leading up to a WORLD record attempt in July.
Working on getting a Skyvan in for the record attempts.
There will be one skills camp per month through July.
Skills Camps include classroom instruction, briefing and debriefing.
Please contact Jon McCollum at [email protected] or see Skydive Dallas website for more info.

The easiest thing for me to do was to learn to fly my arms first - then push down my legs.
So - do try to exit in a sit as AggieDave said. If you start to flail - bring your knees up to your chest - this will keep you Butt-To-Earth. Use your arms to gain balance - look at the horizon. Once you're stable in this position - push your legs down evenly. The goal is to go from flying on your butt to flying on your feet - you have to push hard - you may go into a stand - that's ok. Moving your legs up and down is great practice for fall rate control.

As a student - I loved the canopy ride because it was relaxing (unlike the freefall which was stressful).
After I got my A and was able to start jumping with others, I liked freefall more...
But now that I have a Stiletto 120 - I like them both equally.
I normally wave off around 4 and pull about 3,5 - I have a pull-out, so I like to give myself a couple extra seconds to 'pull' - literally.
At sunset - I normally pull higher to enjoy the peace and marvel at the sky.

Wow - you're new rig is a mini-version of Goats! looks great! I love my new baby... she's calling me name right now
I would have been out there, but I was in Austin for my mom's bday. We partied like rock stars - but I would have loved to have gotten a few jumps on when it was warm.
I will be out there Saturday - but won't be able to stay for the party - going to a DIFFA event that night. Will be back Sunday.
We should do a Mirage-way - perhaps all chicks... we could get them to put it on their website - then we'd be really cool!!! ha
Like the website TequilaGirl - looking forward to my *first* Booze Luge shot!

that's be cool. The belly suit I have was a hand-me-down with blown out booties and it SO doesn't match my rig
Did you get your new rig, my Mirage sister?

There is a pond in Dallas - it's just not on the DZ. It even has floaty lane markers.
Of course of you overshoot it you could hit power lines...
So this dz.com record thing - does it require belly flying? I haven't done one of those in a while... could be fun!

Swooper with a pink rig - probably Tim.
Normally at SDD - wingsuits exit last. I'm sure the exception here was the tube...
Skycat: You're gonna be up here this weekend? I should be out to (as long as the winds cooperate). See you there!

I don't think so - AD A only applies to aerial skills, not SIM knowledge, landing, gear awareness, etc.QuoteBut the real question is would DZs honor a AD A instead of a USPA A?
Of course, it can be argued that for someone to get to the point of an AD license they'd have to know that stuff - but it would have no legal standing.

Wish I could have done more "fun jumps" with everyone - but must train in hopes of making the women's record in November...
Thanks for talking so nice about my boyfriend - I have to agree - Goat's a badass and super-nice guy!
Perky/SunnyD - I'm home safe and sound!!!
