  1. Oh yeah, For the cult crowd; Harold and Maude( Dr Demento fans will remember " a Jaguar ..is that bizarre?").Of course Harold wanted a Hearse!LOL! Fandango hasn't been mentioned. An epic and probably the most realistic skydiving sequence on the silver screen. The train scene was hilarious as well! How much did the passed out drunk guy get paid for his acting talent? I could have been in pictures! "Good Fellows", Joe Peshi is a great actor , at least when he's being a greaseball ;>)!! Up in Smoke?... If you ever toked Ya just have to laugh! Fair Winds, "Treetop"
  2. A lot of great movies have been named. For the Pulp Fiction fans you may want to check out "True Romance" another Quentin Terrentino film with Christian Slaighter, Cristopher Walken, Dennis Hopper and a host of others . (My two favorite sceenes are Christian Slaighter confronting the pimp and Christopher Walken as the mafia boss, questioning Dennis Hopper. Also not yet named are "A Boy and His Dog" ,"True Stories", and one that still has me quessing whether it is really a documentary or a spoof... "American Pimp". "So many movies, so little time." 3. While we're in this jokin' mood Slappie, Do you know the difference in a chicken leg and a penis? Wanna go on a pic-nic?
  4. Has anyone jumped one recently? Where? "Treetop" a.k.,a. LORD OF THE SKY
  5. jtval wrote; about the word geek-- i remember bcak in the day that word was ALWAYS preceded by the word computer..."COMPUTER GEEK!!" ____________________________________________________________ "Back in the day" jtval? How old are you... 23? LOL! No...geek is short for the term *carnival geek* and refers to one who bites off /chews and swallows the heads of live animals. Or atleast that was the meaning"back in the day". Of course you "crazy kids" have your own vocabulary now a days and your own unnatural ways of falling toward the earth. LMOL!! 6. Zennie wrote; To make a long story short, they were lamenting that the sport, and especially the people in it and their attitudes, has changed considerably. They felt that some of these changes were ruining the sport. For example, one thing they said they noticed was that in the "old days" experienced jumpers would take new jumpers under their wing and show them the ropes. If they screwed up and did something stupid, they basically told them what they did and helped them make sure they didn't do it again. He said a lot of that old guys watching out for and helping the new guys was going away. Kind of referred to it as a "spirit if skydiving" thing. So this question goes out to those of you that have been doing this for a while. Do you see a lot of changes in the people? What do you see and what impact do you see it having. And more important, what advice can you give to us new people to help keep the spirit alive? Well, I'm not an old timer. I'm not a newbie either. I'm sort of in the middle but I was a newbie at the time that the oldtimers were still running this sport. Hi, my name is "Treetop" and I've been jumping for about fourteen years now. Let me start out by stating that when I was a student or just off student status, anyone charging to "coach" me would be considered a whore! The cry at the time was," Didn't someone teach you to fly for nothing but beer."I guess now you could ask a modern "coach" that same question and the answer could honestly be "No!" Yes somewhere along the way our sport has been pimped out. I can't put my finger on an exact date or the location where and when that change occured, but there was a change! I wish all of you newer folks could have experienced skydiving before it became a money making venture. Unfortunately, We can't go back, or at least you newbies probably wouldn't. Most of you are scared of single engine planes, expect flushing toilets and hot showers on a dropzone. If you opt for the anemnities your going to pay for them. It's unfortunate that the price is the soul of skydiving plus some bucks! "Treetop" a.k.a. LORD OF THE SKY
  7. Lisa wrote; TreeTop....remind me to get you for that one next time I see you. OK!!! I would ask what makes you think I need to be spanked since I am always an angel, but I may find out and that would be TMI. LOL!!! All good Angels deserve a spanking from time to time! LOFL!!! Be Safe and Fair Winds Lisa, "Treetop"
  8. FFF wrote;Dear, I would bring you home, slowly peel off the jump suit, stand you in my shower and gently and tenderly wash your tiny, slender, body until it was sweet smelling and all pink again, after which, I would carefully dry you off and powder you with silky baby powder. Then, as you relax, the massage that your body so deserves would be administered with great and loving care, while you lay on a bed of rose petals in a candle-lit room, and sip from a tall slender stemmed glass of the finest champaign... FFF Dude, I think she may have gone for that if you had included the sound and thorough spanking that she richly deserves and secretly craves.LOL! FFF , You have a lot to learn about the ladies! And Lisa thought this thread had already gone over the edge,LMOL!!! Fair Winds, "Treetop"
  9. Lisa posted; Man you really get around. Next time jump with a GA Eagle banner just because I like to see you come in with the flag flying...it's cool. You doing the 4 July demo at the Rock?? _____________________________________________ Yes, The Georgia Eagles Skydiving Team will jump the Rock on the Fourth! Incase you missed the Georgia Eagles July 4th schedule ,here it is ; 9:30 AM , leave the plane to land on Main street in downtown Woodstock. Try to avoid that spaghetti of power lines and flare at the right time or else that asphalt might hurt.. 11:30 AM, leave the plane to land in Lee Newton Park, Jasper, Ga. Hopefully there will be no wind as that bowl of trees tends to create rotors out of the slightest of winds . Those rotors have been documented (on "Most Excellent Video") spanking at least one very experienced jumpers' canopy into the ground. :>) 12:30 load up at Cherokee Co airport and fly to Thomaston for some fun jumping until the demo at The Rock Ranch. The Rock Ranch demo is a touchdown at sundown kinda schedule. Oh, I'll be flying Our US Flag on each of these jumps as I'm a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year,... American.
