Go back to the old classics:
    Paul Oakenfold
    Pete Tong
    Paul Van Dyke
    Timo Maas
    All the "Essential" selections...

These I consider the "old" basics...

    ;)

They aren't stricly Techno, more Trance acctually. Techno is still a bit of underground music, the things you here on radio are acctually Trance music. It is sometimes difficult to here the difference between the subgenres of electronic music. Just watch out. Some technolovers tend to freak out when you say you listen to the techno music from oakenfold or tiesto. ;) I prefer to name it electronic music.

Here are some names I like (most techno but also other genres)
    Dave Clarke
    Marco Bailey
    Adam Beyer
    DJ Redhead
    Joris Voorn
    Marco Remus
    Umek
    James Ruskin
    Pet Duo
    Carl Cox
    Alexander Kowalski
    T-Quest
    Psychogene
    Cajmere aka green velvet
    Jack De marseille
and I could go on for quiet a while.
Some of them are good producers, other are very good DJ's, some are both, Umek for example ;)

I mostly listen to DJ sets instead of just tracks. It is just great to hear what some good DJ's can do while playing 3 tracks at a time, scratching etc

Edit to add: if you really want to learn what good techno is, then come to Europe (Belgium, Germany, France, Holland)

  2. Happend when I was ten years old.
At an airshow an airplane crashed about 200 feet away from me. Just ran my ass of to get out of there.
About ten people died there. I was very lucky there. The crashed airplane came to a stop right between full fueled aircrafts, a bunch of F16's and some tankingvehicles with fuel.

And one time a guy tried to kill me. He tried to drown me. Unfortunatly, he failed.

  3. I've got an Oral B and that is fine for me. :)Went in Februari last year to the US and didn't brush my teeth for an entire week :$ , just can't do that with a normal tootbrush.

Btw: it is great in the morning when you're net yet awake. You don't have to do anything except moving the thing every 5 seconds for half a cm :) No more effort! :)

Are non basejumpers aloud to join the channel?

  5. I really like my laptop because I can work with it where I want :)Don't know if dell is good. I have a compaq and it ain't that bad, considering the thing is 3 years old and that i'm an expert in letting computers crash ;)

And a laptop would save you a desk ;)

I find that most of my grudges are based on how people have treated me in the past. It usually takes more than a single incident to trigger my reaction to cut a person or group of people out of my life.

I don't want to be around people that make me feel low, so I avoid them. If that is a grudge, what is so bad about that? I just don't have the patience to put up with them anymore, does that make me a bad person?

I'm experiencing that right now. I used to hang out a lot with a group, but events over the last year have changed a lot. Some people have done things to me and to others that I just can't forgive, not now or in the close future at least. It's so bad that I do not longer trust the people who have really good intentions and can be trusted. Something inside me says that it will happen all again, and I really don't want to go again trough al that misery. I can't be myself anymore with them. I've changed a lot over the year because of these events, maybe not from the outside but certainly from the inside. Maybe it's time to move on.

I think that forgiving someone is really necessary. If someone has done something minor to me (and haven't yet forgive), I get a really weird and strange feeling, bit difficult to say in words, where I know that something isn't right. I tend to keep more distance from that person at that time. Just talking about it and eventually forgiving helps a lot.
I can forgive up to a certain level, somethings I just can't.

Forgiving oneself is important, too. If we can't fogive ourselves for doing something wrong, then we can't really move on from that place, either.

This is something that is really difficult for me. I can rarely forgive myself. I'm pretty hard for myself.

The way my head feels now, i kinda wish i stayed home and did nothing last night.

Oh, nothing keeps you from getting drunk at home ;).
I stayed at home and I wish I went out :S.

Anyway: drink enough water and certainly no coffee. The headache is just because the brain hasn't got enough water :)
    Best wishes to everyone.

    psst its not beer,its grolsh:ph34r:

I think the Dutch people will find this a real horrific accident :)
By the way: Heineken is probely much worse ;)
It as a special nickname here in Belgium, Heineken. It's a bit dirty though :) (the nickname).

  9. I don't know what kind of music you have but maybe try to find a DJ. Ask him/here if he/she is interested of if he/she knows someone else who is interested. If you don't know how to find a DJ, just asking in a bar where someone sometimes DJ's can help.
Don't throw them away, the can be worth a lot, especially very rare covers (if you still have them) can have a high price.

    Thijs :)

  10. I stayed at home with my parents. There is not really much to do around here. Watched some television, some comedy so it wasn't that boring after all.
Fireworks from the neighbourhood were cool. Everywhere on the sky you could see fireworks. :)Went sleeping at 1 a.m. I gave myself a day off today, so no studying, rest was welcome. :)
    Happy newyear everyone.

    Thijs :)

  11. Hello,
I have been around this forum for a while, but never posted anything until now.
I'm no skydiver yet. I want to take up a static-line FJC next summer. I want to prepare myself as good as possible before even going to the DZ (is about 60 km from my home so that is a long bike ride :)I'll be 18 when I will make my first jump (if everything goes as planned) so I do not need approval of my parents to go skydiving. But still, I don't think they will just let me do it, so I do not really know how to ask/tell them. If someone has some advice, just replay, pm of mail ([email protected])
