  1. QuoteYou make it sound like Greg hounded you >Hmmm, I didnt take it that way at all.
  2. Quote Hey, what's this composite sketch skyjack just posted? Is that thing legit or is it bogus? Damn thing looks like Weber. Well? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller???
  3. *If I were Ckret and Rataczak is still alive, I would interview him again asap.* Reply: Forgive me if I am wrong but hasn't Jo said this like a thousand times over the last few months? What do you think Ckret? Also, I know someone asked this a while back(in the last 2 weeks or so) but was never answered, what happened with the parachute find? I realize it was ruled out as "The" parachute, but has anyone dug up the remaining harness/container just to see whats there? If it were on my property you bet I would be there digging it up!
  4. ***QuoteThis is the part that you are missing - they didn't check the prior prints before the FBI did it's computer system. The young agents think it is infallible - but most of the prints put into the system at set-up and in the early yrs were NEVER checked against prior incarcerations. The are archived in Washington DC in a warehouse - individuals with multiple incarceration - their prints were NOT checked and the last incarceration prints where the only ones used --- and Duane's come from the time frame and prison that did manage to get prints altered prior to their being put into the computer system. THIS IS A FACT. ______________________________________________ I seem to remember reading something I believe was in the locked thread about this. If I remember correctly there was actual proof. Maybe I'm wrong and I dont feel like reading the old thread to find it. Seriously though, why haven't all Duanes prints been looked at? There would be a set of prints from everytime he was arrested along with his different alias's. Wouldnt that be the end all if his last set of prints were altered and a match was found from a previous conviction under an alias? Just a thought!
  5. Not to nitpickBut if your signature line is referring to The Doors' Texas Radio and the Big Beat, the lyrics are actually: Some call it heavenly in its brilliance Others, mean and rueful of the western dream Sorry, just happen to be a huge fan of Jim Morrison! 6. Ok, I'll answer my own question. Made a phone call and got directions and went to check the place out. First people I see was Viktor the Russian and his girl Katja whom I met the summer before last out at Napoleon Skydiving Center! Very large landing area which is the biggest I've seen so far with few obstacles, 1 Cessna 182. Pretty small operation with a large airfield. Watched a tandem go up which was pretty exciting for my whuffo buddy and his son! Supposedly they are doing tandems and what they are calling AFP, they just started operations on May 1st. Seems to have a very laid back vibe to it. Pretty nice place overall!
  7. I was just looking through the classifieds and seen an ad for a packer needed for a DZ in Fowlerville Michigan, anyone have any info on this? Not the job, the DZ! Blue skies to all... Tony Sharoian Think about my last words...They might be what I just said!!!
  8. Sounds to me that you did tandems as a method of training, and this will be your first solo? Where I jump at I always ask my instructor what the spot is, we have a giant arial photo taken from altitude and we go over the spot together including where we are expected to be at once we are open. Then I ask where the best place is to hang out and fly my canopy until 1500 where I generally start my landing pattern. Having this info before the jump and actually looking at it on the photo is very helpful as you won't be flying all over the place trying to figure out where the hell you are! You will probably have radio assistance? So listen carefully to what they tell you to do and don't forget to flare! Also remember, the best advice you can get is from a qualified instructor, not in these forums! Good luck and keep us posted as to how it went!
  9. on the 2nd jump..I have also asked others about this got comments like jump more u will get used to it,,to use a nasel spray pror to going up.. It is a very annoying, frustrating thing to have sinius/ear trouble and am glad that u brought it up..thought that maybe i was the only one to have this trouble as well __________________________________________________ I have never had any pain in the ears during freefall or once on the ground, nor do I have any trouble equalizing pressure in the ears. I have what feels like a slight clog in the left ear which seems to last for days after jumping. I'm beginning to wonder if the method of pinching the nose and blowing to release pressure may cause this to happen. Are there any other methods to equalize the pressure? Blue skies to all... 10. I made my first aff a few weeks ago and am at level6. My dilemma is sinus pressure After landing and popping my ears to release pressure I still have pressure in my ears! I have'nt jumped in a few weeks but will be this weekend to finish up aff and hopefully some solos! Has anyone else had this problem? It won't stop me from jumping but it is a nuisance. I've tried Claritin-d and regular claritin for seasonal allergies and sudafed for the pressure but its still there! What have you tried? I don't like taking sinus medication because most of them make me really floaty feeling, and like my skin crawls! Any help would be appreciated!
  11. Hey, thanks for the info! I was beginning to think no one jumped there! I don't think i'll be camping out Friday night but possibly Saturday depending on the weather. Yes, I will be taking the first jump course on Saturday for the AFF and I can hardly wait! It's been a long time coming! See ya there! Blue skies to all... 12. Its finally happening! I will start AFF training next Saturday the 25th at Napoleon Skydiving Center here in MI.
  13. Hey! Thanx for the reply! Sugar mammas are so sweet! Had one for a while but she had a problem with passing out all the time! Anyway through hard work and a few side jobs I'm sure i'll persevere! Keep jumping and be SAFE!!! Blue skies to all... Tony Sharoian Think about my last words...They might be what I just said!!!
  14. I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to the forums! My name is Tony Sharoian(Shuh-roy-in). I started jumping a few years ago, about 2 months after the death of my very loved uncle Raymond. Growing up with a skydiver in the family was exciting to say the least! I looked up to my uncle Ray and had always wanted to jump with him. It was'nt until I saw a picture of me and Ray at his funeral that I realized how bad I wanted to skydive. I remember taking that picture like it was yesterday! Anyway after seeing that picture I knew I had to make a jump for my uncle so I called Skydive Tecumseh and did a static-line jump! Holy shit was I nervous! I felt as though Ray was with me that day watching over me making sure I was safe. Everything went smoothly and I landed without any problems. The feeling of that accomplishment will never be topped! I continued making a jump here and there to my now huge total of 5 static line jumps. My last 2 jumps were in july of 2003 with the late, Great "Pop's". I was very saddened to hear of his death, He made me feel very safe in the air because he was so calm and focused about the whole thing. He even made me laugh about landing loooooong! I'm talking a 5 minute walk through 2 fields to the dz. I have'nt made any jumps since then but I do plan on getting licensed probably next yearIt seems pointless to make a jump or 2 a month, so i am waiting until I have the money to finish the training and to buy equipment. I can hardly stand not being able to jump, it's driving me nuts! Hopefully I can get back in the air next year so, until we meet again.... Blue skies to all...
