Hello TSA Fans, I know you just can’t wait to come out and play again. There is nothing better than doing what we love and helping someone at the same time. Our next almost world famous event will be at Skydive Houston. The event will be a fundraiser for Larry Hinson. Larry was injured during the landing phase on a demo jump at Ballooner. Most of you know Larry he has really helped many skydivers become better skydivers and is an AFF instructor. Larry enjoys doing 20ways, and at least once a month he invites all that want to come out and learn more on this entry level of big ways format. It is time for us to show our appreciation for what he has done for the sport. Larry has given so much it is time for us to help us and has never asked for anything back in return. If you have been with him on the ride to altitude, you undoubtedly joined in with him singing one of his famous songs. Larry has come to our needs and helped without hesitation and now it is our turn to come to his needs. We have made a few changes to our scrambles to be able to hold a few jumps just for Larry. The scrambles will consist of 4 jumps instead of our normal 5 to allow us time to organize a couple of 20-ways. Now, I know this is asking a lot, but if we would get enough for two 20-ways we will hold a very special 20-way meet that should warm Larry’s heart. Lets look at the benefits here: · Give to a fellow skydiver that has always helped others · Be able to jump with some of the best skydivers in the state · Food, did I mention we are serving lunch · More food, we will be serving dinner also · Medals awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at the end of the meet. Skydive Houston will be hosting the Texas Skydiving Association fund raising event Scheduled for Oct 6th and 7th 2007 This event will be dedicated to Chris Scaife a Tandem instructor, videographer, and a very important part of the Skydive Houston Staff Briefing at 8:00 AM First load up 9:00 AM This is not just another Skydiving Boogie, Sure we have a host of skydiving activities available packed in one weekend. Unique 4-way scrambles format, accuracy,and Flour drop accuracy comp. for experienced and Tandems alike. Come Join The Fun! What ever name we call it. It's for everyone, Rookie and experienced alike. The scrambles will have a unique format. That gets every experienced level of skydiver involved in the fun. A. Jumper will have a lot of experience in 4-way formation skydiving and act as team caption B. Jumper will also have experience in 4-way, may have competition experience C. Jumper will have some experience D. Jumper is new to the sport; this may be his first 4-way experience. Medals will be awarded to 1st. 2nd. And 3rd. place at the end of the meet. Do you need your SCR? This would be a great opportunity, the jumpers will be there waiting and willing. Boogie Fee? Donation of $10 or more would be appreciated but is not mandatory. You can register in advance or at the door. To register in advance please register at (Registration Form) T.S.A collects all proceeds generated from the boogie and gives it back to injured skydivers, or bereaving families that are trying to cope during those difficult times. Texas Skydiving Association 4 way scrambles will consist of 5 jumps The first 4 jumps will be a 3 point random skydive from full altitude The 5th jump will be a speed star with bonus points Each jump will be judged during the first 50 sec. of the dive. Giving everyone plenty of time Using U.S.P.A. rules. All manifesting will be done by the T.S.A. Representative Each team will have all the time they feel needed, to dirt dive. No time restraints. Hey I may not get to jump but I wouldn't miss it for nothing I think it's going to be the start of something big. You never know might become somthing that we can look forword to every year woooo hoooooo come on people lets get excited what the hell I can't believe SDH is finally having a boogie ,I'm stoked.
