  1. Travelled to Texas from South Carolina while my wife was attending a convention in the Austin area. Located SSM on DZ.com and decided to give it a try. As an experienced jumper I had read the negative comment about SSM. I found none of them to be true and everyone was so polite & helpful. I wish to thank Theresa, DZ Manager Eric, Tom (Packer), Nick, and Marcus. I had a great time and was asked to meet several of the employees for beers & a bite to eat after jumping. I wish to thank everyone at the DZ for a great time and for making me feel welcome. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to jump at a large DZ with the small DZ feel.
  2. I had the pleasure of knowing Chip for the pass five years. He was a dear friend and mentor. Since his return to South Carolina we jumped tandems weekly and I always enjoyed his stories and advise on how to correct certain problems I often experienced with tandems. He was always willing to help and he will be missed by many. I will never forget Chip. Blue skies my friend.
  3. Thanks Pete, look forward to hearing from you...
  4. No, I purchased it from a gentleman in CA. who stated he purchased it new several months prior.
  5. South Carolina, But I can mail anywhere needed...
  6. Dan was very nice in answering my emails, but said they were attempting to hire approximately 6 more fulltime riggers and they couldn't be of any help... I think, someone by the name of Swan is assisting Mel.
  7. Who can recommend a good rigger to inspect and possibly install a line set on a Cobalt 135. The canopy is a year old and has less than 75 jumps on it. It needs inspecting badly. Openings are taking 1800 to 2000’ and opens like s***. Atair can’t assist, I have already asked…
  8. Can anyone tell me how to get in touch with Mark (Mel) Lancaster. I contacted Atair this date and was told by Cobalt Dan that they were very busy with military contracts and couldn’t assist me with my Cobalt, but Mel Lancaster could. I was curious if Mel himself often views this forum and if he is still located in SC.
  9. Thanks for the reply. I understand that the remote lens doesn't have threads for a close-up attachment which has been a major complaint. I was curious if one could be attached in a different manner and might try. A friend at my DZ purchased one, but didn't like it and got HOSED by Best-Buy upon returning it. 15 % re-stocking charge. I appreciate your input..Quote
  10. Are there any skydivers out there that has used the new Samsung SCX105L video camera? Your comments would be appreciated
