  1. I never thought that I would miss blowing black chunks out of my nose... but thanks to the updated counter I now know exaclty how long until I can blow chunks again! I hope Joe isn't jealous. Hey, does anybody have the contact info for Todd who is putting together the boogie video? I didn't get a chance to hook up with him and I need to get him some of my footage from the week.
  2. Just in case there aren't already too many damn Canadians, I'll be there. Wouldn't want to miss the 40th!!! Adrock Amazon Amyfiske Beachbum - trying my damndest! 3. Does anybody know who I should send my LP video footage to? There were no order forms or anything about this years video. Who's doing the 2006 LP video and where should I be sending my tape? Rob V
  4. Unfortunately, I don't think my fiance ever plans on skydiving. I can't talk her into it and no no longer try... but I can't stop everybody else from trying. She's coming to Lost Prairie this year though!! The exchange rate doesn't benefit me right now, I live & work in the US and make US bucks. All it does it make my Canadian mortgage more expensive for my rental condo. Oh well. See you on the weekend.
  5. Hey Amazon, what ever happened with the job?? I had an offer last week for a new job in Vancouver BC but then wrote up a counter offer... then they told me I was too greedy and basically told be to f-off. We'll see how that goes... I dupid. I need to head down to Mt Vernon next weekend, I'm hopefully getting a new repack this week and getting my new Cyrpes 2 installed as well. Hopefully my finace will let me check out the new DZ while I''m in town. Maybe I'll see you next the weekend. You gonna be around on Sat May 20th? Rob V
  6. I've been going to Pitt Meadows the rare chance that I'm in town in Vancouver. Great people and great plane. http://www.pacificskydivers.bc.ca/index.html

  8. Could I please get added onto the mailing list for that newsletter. I'm up in that neck of the woods. Might need to get a repack done to check out the new DZ...
  9. I know that there are too many canadians, eh , the beer is warm and the skydives suck from the Skydive Arizona Otters and Skyvans and the weather is horribly hot with no clouds and temps of 80 to 90 with humidty around 50% and the water temperature in the lakes are only 70 to 75 degrees... but for some reason I still go every year. Dare I say it but I think I'm bringing my sweetie this year, so I think I'm gonna rent a trailer to stay in. Does someone have the contact info for the company that eveyone always rents from and that brings the trailer to the prairie for ya?
  10. I'm a few months away from retiring my original Cypres. Where can I buy a new Cypres 2 for the best price?
  11. The cable supplied by Sony has a mini connector at one end (for the camera) and the other end is the red/white/yellow RCA connectors. I was going to use the red/white for the audio and use the S-video instead of the yellow connector.
  12. I want to buy an S-Video cable to transfer video from my VCR to Camera... then firewire to PC. S video cable prices range from 99 cents on e-bay for the cheapos to $99.95 for a 16 foot MONSTER Ultra Series THX® 1000 S-Video Cable. There's a cheaper Monster Standard® THX-Certified S-Video Cable for $20 for a 4 foot, $25 for an 8 foot... There's also other "professional" or "high quality" cables for $5-$15. Have you guys seen a difference in quality from cheap/medium/high priced cables?? I don't want to spend $100 on a single cable, I might pay $20 for a good monster cable, but if the $5 or 99 cent cable works just as good... Any thoughts?
  13. Okay, here we go!! Here's the pictures I took of my setup.
  14. I broke the display on my pro-track this weekend. Larsen & Brusgaard will replace it for me but I don't want to lose my data. Is there anyone in the area that will let me borrow their jump-track PC connection and software so I can rescue my data? Weather permitting I expect to be in Hinton this Saturday. Otherwise I live in Maidenhead and work in Slough until December 3rd. I have a car if I need to meet you somewhere.
  15. Went to visit Steve at 2K today. First we made a new bracket for the 350. He also made a template for the future cutomers buying a helmet for the 350. Next we cut out a small part inside the helmet for the lanc cable to go through. There is already a section marked off in the helmet that he removes for the H40 camera. He removed that same section. In the future, he will now remove that same section for all helmets. After that we chopped my chin strap thingies, (don't know what they're called) so that the plastic strap doesn't stick out as much. He did an awesome job. After that I headed to Skydive Hinton and waited for a while and made it onto the last load of the day. Did a 6 way tube jump. Froze my fingers. Damn it was cold!! I forgot to set up my camera for manual focus. But for most of the jump there was someone in the center of the frame so the auto focus wasn't too bad. I'll take some photos of my setup and post them when I get a chance. I think it looks great though!!
