I spent a great year at DZ Borki, currently jump at US DZs, so let me add my 2 cents: IMHO Borki DZ, the first private DZ in Moscow region, is the most comfortable place for guest jumpers. Is it an unsafe place?! Andy, forget about "Soviet" times, that is when you always had anybody else responsible for you. When it comes to safety you cannot trust anyone but for yourself. Get grown-up and don't rely on retired paratrooper instructor in worn military clothes to check your CYPRES turned on :-P And what about the skydivers marching in line toward the airplane? Yes, DZ owner and stuff can do a lot about safety. And so Borki DZ does: there are great airplanes, experienced stuff, friendly attitude, clear rules to follow, equal pricing policy, huge landing field. What else, heh?
