What choice? Children are defenseless against adults in a school setting. There was no way at all for that, or any other, child to "stand up" to a teacher. This is doubly true in this case as it appears that the admin was as biased as the teacher. Niether the teacher nor that admin should ever be involved in education again.
Unfortunately the opposite appears to be WAY MORE the case.. Teachers, over here at least, can do next to nothing to discipline the 'little darlings'.

Yes, but I have serious doubts that anyone will be willing to swap their brand new $40,000 battery for a perhaps-cruddy one at a swap station.
Perhaps you can set the system up such that you buy a car but never buy a battery just rent them... then it would matter 'less' if your received a cruddy one every now and then.
