  1. Skydiving is relaxing. Well to me it is. Have fun!
  2. It's hard to keep a thong out of your crack . j/k Thanks for the advise. I feel better knowing that someone else thinks i'm a conservative pilot. Thanks, Chad Have fun!
  3. I should probably have mentioned that of the 5 years in the sport 3 of those years was just to get my license. I jumped about 10 times a month last year on average from March to October 16th. Have fun!
  4. Hi all, I've been jumping now for 5 years and I have about 130 jumps. I put on a little weight over the holidays. Okay a lot of weight. I've spent the past couple of hours trying to find a site that will provide me the Maximum Recommended Wing Loading for my Hornet 190. My exit weight currently (I am trying to lose weight) is 235 lbs. This puts me at a wing loading of 1.2:1 with rounding. 1.236842 with out rounding. I am atheletic, 5'11, I have broad shoulders and big thighs (where most of the weight is). I exercise and play sports. I just didn't for the winter months and my girlfriend is a great cook. I am a safe skydiver. I could handle my canopy very well when my exit weight was 215 lbs. (1.1:1 lowest i've ever been) but I am unsure how much the canopy will change with my added weight. Since I purchased my canopy I have jumped it more then 40 times and have only had to plf on 2 occasions. One on a very windy day and the other because of a bad spot. I sometimes purposely land downwind becuase I like the speed and responsiveness of the canopy. Obviously, I would not want to try this right off the bat. I know some of you might say, upsize temporarily. I don't want to upsize becuase A) I can't afford it. B) I am definitely losing the weight. So my question is: 1) Do you think it would be safe to jump my canopy at 1.2:1 wing loading? 2) Does anyone know where I can find (ONLINE) any or all the manufacurers recommendations for a Hornet 190. (Aerodyne does not provide the information for Hornets) I REALLY want to start jumping again! Please advise, Chad Dergins
  5. It is definitely not a wide angle and currently you can't add a wide angle either. I couldn't find any information about the resolution. When I called Samsung they gave me the impression that the camera would not do well in extreme conditions. Then why create it? I don't think people are going to walk around with a camera on their head just while recording their kids soccer game. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Have fun!
  6. Some Best Buys have some of the PC109 in stock and with the warranty. Check'em out. You can't find it online though you have to go to a store and ask an associate to look it up for you. Have fun!
  7. The only complaint i've ever heard about these helmuts is that if something breaks on it you have to send to the United Kingdom to be repaired. I don't know this for a fact but that's what I've heard. -CD If your not living on the edge your taking up too much room. Have fun!
  8. Yeah I've spoken with them about jumping with the camera and they have no problem with it. I've already jumped with a PC camera before and recently i jumped with the Samsung SCX105L camera. Not very good. As far as the new Sony's, are you referring to the PC-55's? http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start?ProductSKU=DCRPC55%2fR&Dept=cameras&CategoryName=dcc_DICamcorders_MiniDVHandycamCamcorders If so i'm a bit skeptical about them. CD Have fun!
  9. Okay. I'm not a super experienced skydiver or anything but I went and bought the Samsung SCX105L and I jumped with it. Here are my results.
  10. Okay, check it out. I have found several versions of the Sony "PC" series cameras available. I want to buy one but I don't know which way to go. I just spent the past 3 hours reading reviews and forums and I'm about to go nuts. I don't want to spend more then $700.00. So please leave me your recommendations. Which camera would you use/recommend? p.s. See my short review of the Samsung SCX105L camera. Have fun!
