  1. Have only seen two wings containers, both owned by another jumper at my DZ. On the first one he bought the reserve flap would be open after every jump where he didn't stay flat. He repacked the reserve three times to fix the problem to no avail. He has no problem with the second container. I've also noticed that with more than one of the y2k racers on the DZ that riser cover flaps don't fit properly. And are difficult to close and keep closed.
  2. As part of a report I'm compiling on harness suspension trauma-I was would like to know if any Tandem instructors have come across any cases of suspected harness induced trauma? And do any of you have any opinion on the types of harness used? Any feedback greatly appreciated from anyone who has experience or knowledge to share, specifically with parachute harness's. Harness induced trauma is caused by prolonged inactive suspension in a harness leading to pooling of the blood in the lower limbs-leading to symptoms as dizziness, nausea vomiting and fainting.

    Skydive Space Center

My first DZ in the US and I was spoilt. Open, friendly and willing to help staff. They may not be able to jump 7 days a week but you don't miss out when they do and the weekends rock. I loved the plane the altitude and the help and kindess I recieved from some of the staff I will always be grateful for. Great place, loved it recommend it to anyone. Go jump the space centre.
  4. hey all im gonna be in miami in sept with a group of friends(from oz) mainly to jump but to see a bit of miami. anyone spare some advice or tips on the best places to make the most of our time jumping/partying/staying? cheers.
  5. Thanks for posting your experience it made interesting reading-i have 700 jumps and feel there is so much more for me to learn on handling my canopy and how it behaves-I will be heading to Deland in sept and will be looking to take part in one of these courses. Little time is given to canopy flying in comparison to other disciplines-yet its the one thing we all cannot do without. blue skies
  6. thanks for the reply. thought about starting at the space centre-loads to 18 available-very attractive-have been limited to 10 at my home dz-which is a student dz basically with two cessnas. also space centre has a wind tunnel-although i don't have that much money to spend! I've never been in a wind tunnel b4 but i'm thinking its best to use to improve skills not to learn new ones? blue skies
