  1. Sorry, the mug question...answered. My bad, should have searched first. But the link features would still be cool! Thanks! LISA-HOTPINKSKY ____________________ "...Can't keep my eyes from the circling skiesTongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit..." -Pink Floyd
  2. Hi! I am not sure if this was the question already posted by sunshine, but being able to access personal galleries would be cool from forums. Maybe a link on the left by the image and name, if a gallery for that person is available, to be able to click on it. Also, when I am in my own personal profile, or my account, having gallery options for my pictures would be cool there too. Oh, and a dumb question as well, I have successfully uploaded all of my pictures to my personal gallery. I cannot figure out how to upload a mug shot into the mugs area. Is there a certain qualification I need for that? Thanks in advance for your response. 5. Hey skymama! Funny you say that, I noticed the club after I signed up on DZ.com. I definitely plan to look into joining. It seems like so much fun! I love the comradery involved here, and in the sport itself. Looking forward to getting more experience, and more involved with the people! Take care. 6. Hello! Newbie here, reading up on the anxiety information. It's comforting to see your response! I thought it was odd for me to feel nervous on my second tandem!!?? Guess it is perfectly normal, especially considering my first was nearly four months ago. This isn't the cheapest hobby, so my jumps are just going to have to be very sporadic. I am really nervous for my next jump, since I plan to finally do my AFF. I am not even sure when that will be, but it will definitely be in a few months since I want to do it in a different state when I am on vacation, just a little to add to the money situation. Do you think as long as my jumps aren't very close together in time, that I will ever loose that nervous feeling?! It just kills my stomach! I really look forward to the time when I can do it so often, and that nervous feeling turns into excitement. Either way, I am so into it, and cannot wait to do it again, I will never lose the urge. Once you drop, you can't stop!!! Lisa LISA-HOTPINKSKY ____________________ "...Can't keep my eyes from the circling skiesTongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit..." -Pink Floyd

  8. Hello and welcome! I am so excited for you, and look forward to hearing about your first jump. I have jumped twice, tandem, and plan to do my AFF next. As a beginner, I prefer to be totally comfortable with the freefall experience first. Even with two tandem jumps, there were so many different factors involved, that I realize that every experience is different. Weather, aircraft, type of exit, that has all made such a difference to me with my two jumps. Freefall is -as you have heard already- something else!!! You never really know what to expect. So for that reason, I too would recommend the tandem first, at least once. Enjoy it!! 9. Hello all! Well, I definitely feel like one of the more inexperienced here, and at the same time, feel like I have learned so much already. I have two tandem jumps under my belt so far, and cannot wait to jump again. I plan to do an AFF jump next, and would like to earn a license one day. My first jump was in Miami FL in August, and my second, just this weekend, in Perris CA. I don't think I could have picked a more opposite weather pattern! Yea, lesson one, weather is a big factor to consider when jumping. I mean, when you have no feeling in your hands it's really hard to get your fingers in those toggles! Any way, I look forward to many great experiences with this new passion of mine, and look forward to meeting some great people involved in this sport. Happy new year to you all, and take care! 10. The amenities, and energy level were the most positive aspects of Perris Valley. It was my second tandem jump, on a Saturday of all days. The place was cracking, packed full of people, and classes going on all over the place. Perris Valley is a huge operation, and they seem to really know their stuff. I felt that my experience there was very fast paced, and almost rushed, compared to my first. I am glad this was not my first jump, and that I already had somewhat of a handle on the process. My instructor was not in the best mood that day either. Not that it is that important to get a happy, cheery person to strap on to, but it really helps to ease tensions for a newbie, and to add to the excitement of the process, as a whole. For an experienced jumper, this is a great place to go. No time wasted, get there, suit up, and jump. Because I am a beginner, I really prefer the more thorough, less rushed instruction. I imagine, when I am more experienced, and need less attention or instruction, I will be very happy to jump there again.

    Skydive Miami

I jumped Tandem in Miami in August of 03. It was my first jump, and my experience with Skydive Miami was definitely a positive one. Because it was so quiet, and not too busy, I got a lot of one on one attention, and very thorough instruction. The staff was great! They made me feel so comfortable, and they were lots of fun. I couldn't have had a better first time experience. Thank you!
