  1. amigo, I jump and I surf, and if you don't think it can be extreme just take a smim out into a 7m reef break, don´t be a victim of your own naive critics by knocking another sport, weather you fly or swim they're not your elements, be greatful to the respective gods that inspired you to get there.
oh, and for the standard perfect aeroplane cliche, how the ±µ~:$ do you know how good it is until after it lands.

  2. When this stall/collapse twist and verticle dive occured I stated at 600m and finished at 350 that not wake skipping thats surfing northshore on a ragged break day. way uncool and potentially messy

  3. :SFriend of mine flying from Italy to Gran canaria was carrying his rig (very small) as hand baggage. In Madrid he was stopped by airport police from boarding, they really wanted to know WHY he was boarding a plane with a canopy, as they claimed he could be motivated to jump en route. he tried to explain that life still had a lot to offer and departing a comm. jet at 30 000ft at 600 knots and over an ocean was not the best way to start a vacation. (they even argued he could have a boat waiting) anyway, in the end he was allowed to board, though was required to present himself to the authorities on arrival to prove he had not slipped out un-noticed over the Atlantic.....true story CD

  4. high stall is great, so is the reinflate and accompanying dive, just not when it´s in a sh¶± load of turbulence.

  5. Maybe I was unclear, I have purchased the canopy, the openings are not as hard as a Sabre 1 though I have only jumped the Sabre a few times, seems faster and a little more exciting than the Sabre 2 but that could be in the trim, anyway I am way happy with the rig. Thanks Performance Variable

  6. anyone else flying a Spark ZP canopy, I have just obtained one (150) find it fun and fast with nice openings, tried sabre 1 and 2 but enjoy this canopy more, any other opinions would interest me.

  7. thanks for all the advice (the stay on the ground theorists meant well but please, don´t make this an autoresponse to a retrospect situation, true I push the envelope, but only within the safe fly parameters)
conclusion, in turbulance maintain as much cell pressure as possible, brakes to be used only to reinflte a collapse, steer with gentleness, rear risers work quite well and avoid flying dead downwind, avoid being downwind of obstacles or other flying objects and stay cool, if a complete collapse occurs at above 2000ft cut away.... this is the conclusion from your answers and several bloody expensive phone calls, the links and advice helped....thanks people and blue skies (even to those who ride Harleys..stay over the mascine amigo)..... regards CD

  9. B| could stay on the ground and thats what I did after the turbulant ride, but all in all what I did worked, and if someone can tell me how to see turblance ...maybe I could fly around it too, come on guys, I am after info and input here not advise to stay on the ground, if you have no positive input then save the comments for someone who is impressed by your useless advise

  10. B| I know what causes turbulance, and in this case it was a mountain range. What I am seeking is input on what to do "when" your in it, (this turbualnce was very much a mountain x 10) to accentuate the problem I was flying downwind in an effort to get back to the (very small) DZ, was an exhibition jump and the pilot, nice guy but a dick when it comes to spotting.
Experts have so far said , half brakes, full gas, fly on risers .... my theory after the fact is fly carefully but continue to carve downwind to maintain as much lift pressure as poss, but then again I am still at the base of the learning curve!

  11. :P:P Whats the theories on severe turbulance, I had a severe low alt canopy collapse (to low for the shit happens handle) Canopy colapsed, did a 150 degree right turn and went into a steep dive, was able to coach it out by working the risers but any advice would be appreciated
