  1. Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%? We have all been to those meetings where someone wants over 100%. How about achieving 103%? ____________________________________________________________________ Here's a little math that might prove helpful. What makes 100%? If: A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z is represented as: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 then: H A R D W O R K = 8 1 18 4 23 15 18 11 = 98% K N O W L E D G E = 11 14 15 23 12 5 4 7 5 = 96% A T T I T U D E = 1 20 20 9 20 21 4 5 = 100% and, B U L L S H I T = 2 21 12 12 19 8 9 20 = 103% So it stands to reason that hard work and knowledge will get you close, attitude will get you there, but bullshit will put you over the top. And look how far ass kissing will take you: A S S K I S S I N G = 1 19 19 11 9 19 19 9 14 7 = 118% Never thought about it like that before, huh??

  6. the DZ is reopening feb 14th with special prices during that week-end. 13 euros per jump I think !
  7. I have the same problem here (Bordeaux) all the dz around are closed. My Dz goes to Senegal during winter. It sucks mostly when you see the great weather we have here today :-(
  8. Now I got advice about when to flare but can you tell me how I should position my legs when I land. I see people having straight vertical legs, others having bent legs in front of them... I guess everything works more or less but is there a position you recommend?
  9. Because it's winter and it's cold! my DZ is going to Senegal during the cold season actually. But the DZ in Agen is open until dec 20 (and will jump on neaw year's day) and reopens february 20. why r most french dz's closed now? is it just for winter or something more sinister
  10. As it seems a tradition here... I just wished to say hello to everybody as I'm new on the site. I completed my AFF course in may and couldn't really find the time to jump much afterwards :-( only have 12 jumps so far. Hopefully I'll pass the A for Xmas (yeah right, crazy me with this weather !) Can anybody help me me finding the right time to break (have no idea if that's what you call it in english)? How far from the ground should you be? Do you have any visual tips to know how far you are anyway? I had a tendancy to pull too high and now that I'm trying to correct it, I've had a few bumpy landings ! though nothiing epic to tell :-) Thanks N
  11. Hi there, Unfortunately most DZ are closed now in France. Many people recommended Spain or Italy to me but make sure they do speak good english cause it's your "first" time. For the AFF I would recommend choosing a english-speaking country for you. Did my tandem in New Zealand over the landscapes of Lord of the Rings. It was awesome! a bit far maybe? otherwise many people praise Florida here Good luck and if you decide to do it in spring instead.
