Does any one know another link to this video? My local internet has blocked that site and, I want to see this video

its on youtube, search around and you'll find it

  3. speaking from a non jumpers perspective here.

if he was 10 years old and you said what you said that would be wrong, he how ever was a responsible experienced adult who made up his own mind on what he wanted to do,
    your not responsible in anyway.

best wishes to you as well as best wishes to him and his family.

just be thankful that you dont have a flat COUNTRY. [:/]

    haha funny

there is a 1800ft cliff that no1 has gave the time/commitment/balls yet to jump

I'm sure there would be a country out there with no cliff over 1000ft

also if oz base crew would invest in a few million tonnes of TNT I'm sure they could turn planty of hills into cliffs :D

  5. haha
when I went there the other weekend I bought 2 x 1 litre bottles of vodka duty free, how ever on the plane I seen a vid that said only 1 litre is allowed.

so I thought I'd inform customs when I got there, the guy quized me about it
"how long will you be here?"
    me "3 days"
(puzzled look on his face) "your going to drink all that?"
me "well I'm hopeing to find some people that will volunteer to help me"

it wouldn't have been hard, the alcohole in pubs/clubs is so heavily taxed, I hear norway is the same in that regard

We found many new exits, and some of them are sub-optimal but cool. If youre up for an adventure like small base-climbs in crazy areas with crazy drunk people playing the guitarr naked sitting on a huge rock after a Pink Floyd concert. Go to iceland ad look for Benni

I can both recomend it and not recomend it. If you have the brain, dont go!! if you have the heart, do it you might with some luck survive ;)

Unfortunately I'm only a fan not a participant so jumping is out of the question for me, how ever the drinking I'm very experienced at :)

get hold of Benni the Ice-Man

He is a good friend of mine and my brother from another mother.

He is the man. Him and me opened many jumps on iceland, atleast 8-10 good jumps slider down and one slider up.

though there is a great problem with weather.

Cool, has anyone jumped the main building in the capital (without site nameing its simply the tallest at 240ft).

also whats the biggest delay ya's have got off a cliff ?

  8. RIP steve

a guy who money and famed never changed
worth over $100 million still lived in the same small house with the same old 4x4

the land he bought was simply bush that he kept as is, as he seen it as conservation

because all i am saying is there are some 16 year olds that can jump and do it safely.

I think the issue here with the age is, some 16 years olds who would jump will think if they do it safely then its gunna be safe.
even if your the best shit hits the fan, look at slims vid.

when I was 16 I thought I'd never die, some how I literally thought I'd live to be really really old then medical advancements would help me live for ever lol.
I realised I could get severely injured in life but never thought I'd die.

now I'm 23 that seems like the dumbest thing to have ever thought, but many 16 year olds would be thinking like that and none would admit to it, no1 would have had a single clue I thought like that.

All Felix bashing aside... That was really cool to land on the roof!

Personally I think it was lame, he was doing something that was done 24years ago but trying to make out his super original lol,
now if he had done it and tried to keep low profile I'd say fair enough, but advertising tresspassing as cool is as cool as marketing any other law being broken

2-weight is NOT a factor in acceleration from gravity. it IS however a factor in actual terrminal speed. did anybody else pay attention in HS physics? .

I would have thought something heavier with a smaller surface area would reach terminal slightly faster then something of the same size and lighter.

why is this not so ?

if I drop a shot-put and a tennis ball from 10ft the shot-put hits the ground first.

even if one only got in front by 1ft at the start it would still be that 1 ft a head.
or would the heavier item have a higher speed of terminal veloicity and take longer to get there as it has to go higher faster then the lighter object of eqaul mass ?

My BASE rig is around 18 pounds. My skydiving rig is about 16.

what size canopys does your skydiving rig contain?
and what is in the base rig

is the main weight diff due to canopy size or some other factor?

Are you basing that on experience jumping big cliffs at various altitudes?

I haven't noticed an appreciable difference from similar sized (terminal) cliffs with landing areas at sea level and 4000' above sea level.

I'm curious if your experience has been different.

    Tom you know my experience.
if it was like 1 billionth of a second later it would still be a difference.

I actually didnt know that either (shocking huh). But without all the variables, what is an average time?

Lets make it easy, If I was to jump the balloon at WFFC with a base rig (sorry couln't resist) from 5000ft, how long would it take to hit terminal.

well odds are the bas rig would be reserve free, so ya would be lighter.....
