I was thinking about this lens until I read some reviews on it. I just got a 20mm canon lens instead.

Has anyone used the digital rebel kit lens in freefall? I just got mine and I get an error 99 code when I get on the ground. I'm wondering if it's the lens?

Thanks for the feedback, I have the digital rebel kit that comes with the new canon lens. The error 99 code means they basically don't know what it is. The camera works fine on the ground and after I reset it after a jump by removing the battery and replacing it.

I just got my digital rebel and I'm having problems with it. It works fine on the ground but once I leave the plane it shoots a couple pictures and shuts down. When I get on the ground I get a error 99 and have to take the battery out to reset it. The only thing I can think of is temperature or moisture, it was cold and overcast this weekend. Anybody else having this problem?

I was wondering what people were using for lenses on the digital rebel. I heard that you can get a lighter, cheaper lens for it. If so how's the quality?

i'm looking at getting a digital still camera,I know the Canon 10d is popular. A photographer friend of mine said the ccd sensor in the fuji s2 is a better choice. My question is , are ther any reasons why not to go with an s2, weight, recovery times ect? thanks
