    Apple makes a good machine, but you'll pay for it. Linux is great and has many great editors to choose from for free. Many places sell Ubuntu machines ready to go the new Fedora core is really good also. Stay away from Sony and Dell. Check tigerdirect.com, newegg.com If your a real techno idiot stick with windows.
