  1. hey, thanks to all for the advice, pointers and encouragement. The links you directed me to were really useful too so thanks all round!
  2. Hey, i've only recently got my cat 8 in January, but on the same day I dislocated my shoulder and have been out of action since. Now I really want to get back up in the air but all the doctors and physios are really negative and say its too dangerous without surgery (which i'm told i don't relly need). I DO NOT want to give up, and wanted some advice from some peops who know what they're taking about - anyone dislocated shoulders/something in freefall? - how do i get to be allowed back up there? ta muchly!
  3. First post-cat8 jump, doing a celebratory two way with my instructor, when i went to track away which popped my shoulder out. It was my right shoulder so i couldn't pull my ripcord - so followed reserve drills with one hand, one handed canopy ride, and flaring with both toggles in one hand. Thankfully managed to pop it back in once i'd got my rig off! Getting cat8 and then being grounded in one day - total bummer!
