    Good story Dude.

Think of it this way, you are lucky that your buddy wasn't branding them that day. You could've ended with a "tatoo" ;)

Watch out between DC and Petersburg (Where you will take I95 South) The highway is divided by a huge tree line where the cops LOVE to be hiding;) And there are kinda plentyful lately.

  4. (in English cuz I agree with you;))
So you'll be in Reston? I live only a few miles away. I will PM you my #s.
As for the directions it's very straight forward. I agree, do not follow Mapquest's instructions, it will tell you to leave I 85 earlier but it's not the most convenient.
From the Beltway (I 495) take I 95 South towards Richmond. Once you passed Richmond, you take I 85 south towards Durham - Atlanta. Proceed until you see the exit of Creedmoor, follow the directions to 56 East. CSS is about 15-20 miles from there, on 56 East. The DZ will be on your right and you cannot miss it. Total travel time, assuming you respect the speed limits, is about 4h30.

  5. Salut Alain,

Je suis Français et habite en Virginie, en banlieue de Washington DC. Je suis content que la philosophie d'Hispas te plaise. Afin de joindre le groupe il te suffit de faire un saut d'initiation avec un des délégués ou moi-même. On fera cela à CSS. L'espagnol n'est pas un problème pour devenir membre. Mais si veux le pratiquer avec nous ce sera avec plaisir. On poste beaucoup dans le forum en espagnol sur ce site. ;)

    Hispas Brothers

    History:
When Dropzone.com opened the forums in Spanish, French and German in September 1993, I strated posting in the Spanish one and very soon I wanted to meet my new friends. Thus, after exchanging ideas I decided that it was time to create a brotherhood.
Thanks to the help and support of my friend Juan Villacis (in recognition I decided to give him the honor of bearing the membership number 1) and the interest expresed by the other members posting in that forum, I was able to make this dream come true and founded the HISPAs Brothers on September 17th 2003.
The acronim stands for Hermandad International de Saltantes en Paracaidas which translates as International Brotherhood of Parachute Jumpers. The name was chosen,by polpular vote of its members, among the various names that were proposed. Although many of our members do not speak Spanish, all were in favor of this name.

    The mission:
HISPAs has for goal to create a warm frienship for all of those that enjoy skydiving. We aim to, not only reach across borders, but to set in stone a true frienship among skydivers all over the world, regardless of skills and experience of the induvidual.
Our mission is to give back to the sport, what the sport has given to each of us. We pride to help those who are just starting and enable them to jump with more experienced and knowledgeable jumpers in order to help them to become safer jumpers and not being left to themselves as it so sadly happens so many times. It goes without saying that all of us are gaining knowledge and experience from the other members, regardless of our current skills. We are all benefiting of our shared knowledge.

HISPAs is an international brotherhood with over 60 members located in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Panamá, Colombia, Uruguay, Argentina, France, Switzerland and Spain.

It bet it was quite a sight, eh?;) seeing all these dudes heads down and butts up at the tailgate :)B|.
Poor cows, you should have seen them running away from Cowboy Ranjit. I was laughing so hard that when I landed further down next to my buddies, I went belly down in the soybeans.:D:ph34r:

We had a blast at CSS, really. Jorge, Rangit Gina and I were the last one to leave on Sunday, and we were dragging our feets in the parking lot. We miss you all.
    But........WE WILL BE BAAAAAAAAAAAAAACk:)
After all, we took care of the cows, now it's the chicken coop turn:P

  10. Remember the 6 way rolling tube with Ranjit, Victor, Juanesky, Jorge of the Jungle, you and me, when we landed off. No problem. there were plenty of safe landing possibilities. Ranjit was much lower than I and was hesitating between 2 fields, one empty one with a herd of cows. Of course he went for the cows :P. I was laughing my ass off seeng the cows stampeding from him while he was flaring towards them. I guess that in all fairness he deserves to be addressed as Cowboy Ranjit from now on:D:ph34r::D:ph34r::D:ph34r:.

  11. As President of the HISPAs, I would like to say just this:
    CSS ROCKS BIG TIME

To all of the CSS people, our hearts are heavy and our eyes are full of tears, we miss you. There is no words enough to thank you all for your genuine kindness, and for being such great hosts. You made us feel at home as soon as we set foot at the DZ.
    Big kuddos.

To all of you, staff and gang: We love you :)>:(>:(>:(>:(

  12. Hi, I know that Hartwood has a bunkhouse, comfy enough. I suggest that you give them a call to make arrangements before its full.
I am not very familiar with the area but they will be more than able to offer tips on local accomodations.
