  1. I tried stove fan, window fan, cooling fan, folding fan, fan-fan, candles, deodorant and incense. Nothing has worked. The smell is just too overwhelmingly potent. You fly with the wind, or the wind flies you.
  2. Is there anyway to fry garlics in college dorm without the risk of me being thrown out of the window? I know this stuff is aroma to some but ammonia to many more, plus its smell spreads like a gas attack. Sorry but I just cannot make pasta sauce without them. You fly with the wind, or the wind flies you.
  3. Just saw the advertisements of newly released GoPro 6 and GoPro Fusion, have to say that Fusion looks absolutely incredible in terms of both graphic capability and functionality. But what would be the point of releasing GoPro 6 if you can just get the similar graphic quality as well as VR/360 function on Fusion and achieve multi-angle filming without attaching 4 different GoPro 6s to your limbs? I'm planning on dropping my bucks on Fusion, unless Hero 6 offers some serious advantage over its counterpart. Edit: Nothing has beaten Hero 3's ad yet. 4. Appropriate lunch box notes should either be: "Gourmet 3-Star Premium Corned Beef Sandwich from Mom" or "Little fucker either straight As or you're on National School Lunch Program" You fly with the wind, or the wind flies you.
  5. Yeah now if only I could fucking remember my dreams! Only once in a while do I remember them... Remembered dreams are normally horrifying nightmares that leave your soul traumatised... You fly with the wind, or the wind flies you.
  6. If we sleep for 8 hours per day, and supposingly if we live for 90 years, then 30 years of our lives would be spent doing nothing at all! You fly with the wind, or the wind flies you.
  7. Thanks for the advice! I will surely make him aware of the method. Never thought about induced instability recovery haha. Same here! Did you pass your Lv4 ans 5 without having to repeat? And did you use tunnels within AFF? You fly with the wind, or the wind flies you.
  8. Perris is definitely my favourite DZ. They have a huge fleet of aircrafts that would keep you busy from 7 in the morning until the last sunset load. The on-site tunnel also offers a convenient choice for anyone who want to improve their freefall skills. The AFF instructors are topnotch! They are particularly dutiful as they really care about the students and would make absolutely sure that you have all the information ingrained in your mind before sending you up in the air for each jump -- as opposed to simply rushing you through the course since there's no bonus for overtime. I had Nico as my coach - what an amazing and responsible instructor with a great sense of humour! He patiently spent almost 9 hours teaching us (3 hours longer than required) ground school essentials, going over EP drills, as well as answering questions we had despite the lengthy process. You just can't go wrong with the quality! The Bombshelter with swimming pool makes the DZ an ideal place for summer pool parties too. 10/10
  9. Oh my! Thanks for the insight as I have never put that in consideration. Do bigger DZs like SD Vancouver close down as much too? If so my best best would be Seattle as Kapowsin is pretty close by. You fly with the wind, or the wind flies you.
  10. I noticed some of the students like to kick their legs as they exit attempting to "get out" of that initial stomach sinking sensation, so that's when instability comes into play... no amount will windtunnel will prepare someone mentally for the freefall. You fly with the wind, or the wind flies you.
  11. Asking for a friend. He has been stuck at level 4 for about a week now - had to repeat level 3 once, and level 4 three times. On top of that he has spent over 45 minutes in the on-site windtunnel, in three 15 minutes sessions before each failed level 4... today he failed again because they used Skyvan, resulting in an extremely unstable exit, the pair tumbled&did not manage to recover until 9000ft... Any tips would be greatly appreciated. You fly with the wind, or the wind flies you.
  12. +1. Better than shoving them up someone else's butt. You fly with the wind, or the wind flies you.
  13. Because my home dropzone is Perris, so I am kind of accustomed to that level of load frequency. The last thing I want being a college student is having to drive 4 hrs every week back and forth to the DZ and only get to make a couple jumps because weather or tandem get in the way. You fly with the wind, or the wind flies you.
  14. Yeah that's right! I'm seriously considering UVic now... but anyway, no jump no fun right? You fly with the wind, or the wind flies you.
