  1. Hi! I wish I would read this forum, when we were in London! I'm one of those Aerodium instructors, who were working and perfoming there! Answering some of thoughts and questions in this forum I can tell: that it is impossible to fell outside of our wind tunnel safety area. The only way that could be done, is making perfect tracking position at 10 or more meters hight. But we havn't tried that, of course! About the show - yes it was similar to the closing ceremonie of olympics at Torino and performers were the same.. The crosswinds doesn't impact flight hardly up to first two meters above the net. But at higher altitudes it should be treated seriously. The speed of airstreem at Russel square was below 200 km/h, so there is a need for baggy suits. But it is enough to have fun for inexperienced people or lightweight skydivers. We know about differences between closed wind tunnels and ours. I can remark that quite often skydivers are disappointed about their first flight in open wind tunnel, because they are not used to fly within 4 m airstream without visible walls. Baggy suits also makes flight different, so it is not so easy even for experienced skydivers. If any questions l'll be glad to answer you.. Blue Skies! Reinis
  2. Yes, they do! Even more - once I made a team bilding event for ~60 employees of that company, where they all made a static line jump with round military canopies from 2000 ft.. Reinis
  3. I work there! I do it also to improve my FF skills. Its FUN and sometimes we make shows around the Europe with our open portable wind tunnel.. So I can travel and fly! Reinis
  4. A have some answers on this.. I'm an instructor in Aerodium wind tunnel (Sigulda, Latvia). We already did that several times in our wind tunnel, but instead of human body, we used 50 litre water bottle. It was round old type sports canopy (UT-15, Russian made). As some of you already wrote - it is really dangerous to do it, but not impossible. It went up about 20 - 30 meters and then fell of the airstream and landed outside of the Aerodium. I can say, that conapy fully deployed in 3 of 5 attempts. I have some video, so later i can put it on internet.. BS, reinis Reinis
  5. Thanks, Jerry81! You answered before I wrote the questions! Reinis
  6. What fabric were used? What about stick for holding the blade? We have an idea to buy fishing rods! Reinis
  7. We are considering to set up some swoop corridor in our home DZ! The question is: where to get the blades? or how to make them, what stuff we need for that? Any suggestions? Reinis
  8. Thanks for the answers, especially Lewmonst! Seems that you really enjoy Katana! I believe that I will also be able to add my review after few months! Reinis
  9. Hey folks! I'm going to by a new main and it would be great to hear any PROs and CONs. Undecided between Crossfire2 119 and Katana 120! I've been flying both with desired wingload (1.58), but not enough to prefer one of them! Both were amazing, so any advise would be appreciated! Thanks! Reinis
  10. Has anyone jump one? I'm considering to buy, as it is recommended for freeflyers! Any suggestions? Thanks! Reinis
